Uncle is 3D artist, uncle job replaced by AI, so uncle learn coding and use AI tool to assist with software programming. Uncle also use photoshop AI to modify some 2D textures. Everything else is handcrafted, especially the 3D models. AI generated 3D model sucks but I think it's gonna catch up soon at this rate 😭
During development, we may use procedural and AI-assisted tools to support content creation. The final product reflects the creative direction, authorship, and expression of the development team.
Some in-game assets were created with generative AI tools during development. Visual assets — including player portraits, team logos, and court designs — are a mix of hand-crafted artwork and AI-generated images, and some sound effects and music were made with AI audio tools. Similar assets may be added in future updates. All AI-generated content is reviewed by the developer before inclusion, is entirely fictional, and depicts no real people, real teams, or licensed properties.
Some of this game's art and music assets were created with the help of generative AI tools during development. Art: Character portraits, unit and enemy sprites, environment tiles, map decorations, and item icons were produced with the assistance of AI image-generation tools (including Retro Diffusion, PixelLab, and FLUX), then curated, edited, assembled, and integrated by the developer. Music: Background music was generated with a licensed AI music-generation tool and edited by the developer. All AI-assisted content is pre-generated and fixed in the shipped game — no content is generated live during gameplay. Every asset was reviewed and approved by the developer to ensure it is original to this game, does not infringe third-party intellectual property, and is appropriate for the game's audience.
Generative AI tools were used during development to assist with the creation and refinement of some visual assets, text, localization, and other pre-generated game content. The music, a few sound effects. And very few of the menus have been created using AI. I know that many communities hate games with AI. And yes, lads, I’ve used it. But I can assure you that 90 per cent of the game has been lovingly crafted by a developer.
Only the background scenery is created with AI.
Some of the 3D props in this game — the ritual items players carry and place, and a few pieces of set dressing — were created with an AI-assisted 3D generation tool from text prompts. Every generated model was reviewed, cleaned up and integrated by hand before it shipped. Nothing is generated by AI while you play.
The ship and part artwork was generated with AI, then hand-edited and traced by me into the sprites and collision shapes the game actually uses. Nothing generative runs while you play. There is no AI service wired into the build, and the game never calls one. The music is licensed from real artists, and the sound effects come out of a script I wrote. Neither is AI. I want to replace the AI art with work from real artists before Early Access ends. I am not going to promise a date for that, but it is what I am working toward.
Some of the artwork, audio, text, and program code in this game were created with the assistance of generative AI tools and were reviewed, edited, and integrated by the developer. The game does not use generative AI to create content in real time during gameplay.
Generative AI tools were used during development to assist with the creation of some visual assets and development materials. All AI-assisted content was reviewed and integrated by the developer. No generative AI is used during gameplay.
As an individual developer, during development of this game, AI tools were heavily used. I disclose this honestly and transparently. 1. In-Game Assets Illustrations & Art: Unit portraits and the opening cinematic illustrations were generated using AI image models, then manually curated, retouched, and unified in style. All assets were human-reviewed under strict art direction to ensure historical tone and consistency. Opening Cinematic: Subtle motion effects on the illustrations were produced with an AI image-to-video model and assembled by using the Remotion pipeline. Background Music: The soundtrack was generated by an AI music model in multiple takes, then human-selected, mixed, and mastered. Telegram Voice-overs: The historical telegram voice-overs in-game were synthesized by an AI TTS system. Each character's reference voice was human-approved through listening tests before use. 2. Development Assistance Code: Game code was written and debugged with the aid of AI coding assistants. All code was human-reviewed and validated through automated testing. Localization: The game supports Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and English. The English text was AI-drafted and human-proofread. 3. What Is NOT AI-Generated Historical Text: The telegrams in-game are taken from historical archives, 34 are verbatim transcriptions of the original documents, and 12 were written based on the sources. They were not AI-generated. Terrain & Map: The battlefield map was procedurally rendered from real elevation data (SRTM), not generated by AI. Game Balance & Statistics: Troop strength, Unit Introduction, and values were researched and set manually from historical sources, cross-checked for accuracy and play balance.

AI helps us bring our creative ideas to life. In true indie fashion, we are two starving game developers—figuratively, and occasionally quite literally. It’s the only way for us to produce the art we need while saving our remaining coins for developing the game. If the budget grows, we’ll consider buying the better cheese from the local market.
A large chunk of the netcode was ai assisted as well as many in game features
Towards the end of development, we used modern tools to find bugs faster and further improve the player experience. Some graphics are still temporary and will be replaced with original artwork before the full release. These tools will continue to support testing, bug hunting, and technical optimization.
Generative AI tools were used during development to assist with early visual concepts, selected promotional artwork, and development support. All AI-assisted materials included in the final product were reviewed, edited, and integrated by the developer. The game does not generate AI content during gameplay and does not send player input to external generative AI services.
Some static art used OpenAI; no runtime AI.
Visual Assets: As a solo developer, I use generative AI to create initial variations for scenery, textures, character sprites, and UI. No raw AI output ships in the game — every asset is hand-edited, composited, and cleaned up to match the game's aesthetic. Music: The soundtrack and ambient music are created with AI audio tools, then curated and sequenced into a cohesive, atmospheric score.
Shirt Happens! was made with the help of generative AI. We used it to write and review code, to bring the game's mechanics online, to support our UI work, to generate visual assets and reference images for our 2D and 3D art, to draft written text including parts of this store page, and as a sounding board for design ideas. Everything it produced was reviewed, edited and finished by us before it shipped.
Neural Defense was developed by a five-person indie team using a combination of hand-crafted work and generative AI tools. Generative AI was used during development to assist with music composition, concept art, portions of the game's code, and the editing and expansion of some narrative text. All final in-game assets — including 3D models, textures, and visual art seen during gameplay — were hand-crafted by the studio's artists. No content or code is generated live during gameplay; everything was created, reviewed, and finalized by the team prior to release.
AI was used to translate in-game text into other languages
Eternal Rift Defense uses AI-assisted tools during development to help generate and refine certain code, audio, visual assets, and design elements. All AI-assisted content is reviewed, modified, and validated by the developers to ensure quality, security, and consistency with the game’s design.

Some of the art scenes and music in this game are created using AI assistance.
The text used in the game and on the Steam store page has currently been translated primarily with the assistance of AI tools. Most of the graphical assets used in the game are based on real photographs or renders of 3D objects. However, AI-generated imagery was used in cases where no suitable real-world source material was available, or where the available material was insufficient to complete or supplement the required assets.
Automotive Empire was developed using AI-assisted tools across multiple disciplines. Visual assets, music, and audio were generated using AI tools. The game's code was developed with AI coding assistance. Every element — every image, every track, every line of code — was reviewed, selected, refined, and approved by the developer as part of a deliberate creative vision. The game design, systems, world-building, and writing are entirely human-made. Automotive Empire is the product of one person's vision, built with the best tools available today.
Some of this game's assets were created with the assistance of generative AI tools and were then reviewed, edited, and integrated by the developer. This includes: base meshes of some 3D character models, some 2D artwork such as card illustrations and icons, voice lines and sound effects created with AI voice/audio generation, and parts of the localized text. All such content was pre-generated during development — the game does not generate any content with AI at runtime.
his game uses generative AI during development to assist in the creation of certain visual assets, including but not limited to store promotional images, concept illustrations, and decorative graphics. All AI-generated images have been reviewed, selected, and post-processed by the developer to ensure consistency with the game's overall art direction. The core gameplay, programming code, written content, numerical systems, music, and sound effects were independently designed and authored by the developer without the use of generative AI. AI tools were used solely to improve the production efficiency of visual assets and are not involved in any real-time in-game content generation.
Generative AI tools were used during development to create and refine visual artwork and music, and to assist with programming. All final content was directed, selected, edited and integrated by the developer. AI is not used at runtime and the game does not generate new content while you play.

Ravens of War uses generative AI to create some of the artwork and illustrations used in the game, including card artwork. This content is pre-generated and included as part of the game; the game does not generate new AI content during gameplay.
Generative AI was used in the creation of the background images and certain sound elements of this game.
Generative AI tools were used during development to assist with artwork refinement and programming. All character designs were originally hand-drawn by the developer, with AI used only for selected improvements and post-processing. AI was also used as a coding assistant. No AI-generated content is created live during gameplay.
During the development process, we may use procedural- and AI-based tools to assist with content creation. In all such cases, the final product reflects the creativity and expression of our own development team.
Selected pre-generated visual and audio assets used in Tracked and its store materials were created with the assistance of generative AI tools during development. Every AI-assisted asset was selected, reviewed, and edited by the development team before use. No content is generated during gameplay, and the game does not connect to external AI services.
During the development of this game, generative AI was used to assist with the creation of some art assets, sound effects, music, text translations, and development reference materials. All AI-assisted generated content was manually reviewed, edited, integrated, and approved before being included in the game. No content is generated in real time based on player input during gameplay.

AI-generated material is manually selected, edited, and integrated by the developer. No generative AI is used during gameplay, and the game does not connect to external AI services at runtime.
All pre-rendered visual artwork was created using generative AI under developer direction. This includes environment backgrounds, interface and menu artwork, branding, icons, and promotional/title-card images.
**Pre-Generated AI Content** Generative AI tools were used during development to assist in creating some of the pre-generated content included in the game. The AI-assisted content includes images, music, written text, and translations. All AI-assisted content was generated before release and is included in the game as fixed assets or data. The developer reviewed, selected, edited, and integrated the content before including it in the product. No content is generated by AI while the game is running. The developer reviewed the included content and only incorporated material believed to have the necessary rights for distribution. Third-party copyrighted characters, trademarks, or other protected material were not intentionally requested or included. **Live-Generated AI Content** The game does not use live-generated AI. It does not connect to any generative AI service or generate AI-assisted content while the game is running.
Ai was instrumental is creating the music and sound effects for FARMY and will continue to be used for more audio content as the game grows.
AI was used during development, particularly to assist in creating and refining some artwork and audio assets. All content was reviewed, selected, improved upon, and integrated manually. This game does not generate AI content during gameplay. I'm not a good artist or audio producer but using current tools lets me deliver what I think is a fun game that I wouldn't be able to deliver at anywhere near the same quality without them. Fortress Breaker is still very much a one person project, just one with great tools.

I'm not a good artist or audio producer but using current tools lets me deliver what I think is a fun game that I wouldn't be able to deliver at anywhere near the same quality without them.
