Public Steam disclosure research 25,376 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
Some cutscenes and the game title are AI-generated images.
The English version was originally translated by a human translator (Gray), and was retranslated using ChatGPT in 2026.

Human creation and the use of AI : ➧ 100% of the game's sounds were purchased and designed by humans. ➧ 100% of the animations VFX were purchased and designed by humans. ➧ 100% of the interface was designed, customized, and integrated by me over more than two years of meticulous, case-by-case attention, representing thousands of hours of work. These interface elements come from numerous resource packs purchased online from human artists such as Kodiac Graphics and his amazing Mercenary GUI https://kodiakgraphics.itch.io/mercenary-rpg-gui or PONETI and his 4000 icons https://poneti.artstation.com/store/zVzR/4000-fantasy-icons or PVGames and his trully unique 2D Srpites used as cosmetic in-game coat of arms appearances, REXARD https://assetstore.unity.com/publishers/13229 Dream Circle for hundreds of incredible animations vfx https://dreams-circle.itch.io/ And many more ! Generative AI was used to create backgrounds images such as class backgrounds, menu backgrounds, battle backgrounds. I recently updated the sprites of all the enemies in the game using generative AI; the retro 3D rendering is incredible and perfectly matches the art style. All this represents approximately 15% of the game's graphics assets. Our team uses generative AI tools to assist in developing some game assets.
AI was part of the workflow for creating images of characters and locations.
Some character portraits and loading screens have been made using generative AI.
In-game text has been translated into multiple languages using AI-generated translations. The character representing AI in the game features a voice generated through text-to-speech technology.
the player can get ideas for the RPG story using AI text completion
Some AI generated 2d art (in events and menu)
All character voice acting is AI-generated, but just a few characters have voice acting. It is not an important feature of this game, since it focuses on combat. Voice acting can be disabled in the game options. Ideally, all AI voice acting should be replaced by human voice acting in the final version of the game, but this is yet to be decided.
RUTHLESS:1 uses AI generated textures in some places for additional detailing. They are never the main focus of a scene.
Some visual assets, such as store capsule images and in-game card illustrations, were created with the assistance of generative AI tools. All gameplay and code are original.
AI-generated materials are not used directly. of some of the character illustrations are used Posing, facial expressions, and composition of some character illustrations are used as references. I draw by hand while looking at the AI-generated materials.
AI was used to generate art for illustrating ingame events, encyclopedia pages, difficulty selection windows, host improvement illustrations and main menu backgrounds.
The characters are made with AI and edited by me.
This game heavily uses AI to live-generate in-game content such as text, images, and sound effects. It also uses AI to make a variety of game mechanics decisions in real time.
As a solo developer, AI has assisted with voice acting, allowing me to bring my vision to life more efficiently and effectively.
I used AI in the process of creating loading screens and the capsule images.
1. We used ChatGPT-4 to make some custom javascript plugins. 2. Used ChatGPT-4/DALL-E3 to generate some of the faces of NPC's, also some icons for the system menu.
Generative AI is used during development to prototype the voice acting. Expect professional voice acting quality by the full release.
The game features character portraits, generated by AI based on illustrations created specifically for the game by illustrators. The AI graphics will be replaced with hand-painted graphics and are currently serving as a prototype/reference work for human artists (we are planning a kickstarter fundraiser and will include illustrators' fees). The AI graphics will be removed as we raise funds. AI works for us and not us working for AI!
The picture is partially participated by ai, manually modified, and the animation is manually produced
I added scenes and images improved with Generative Artificial Intelligence. They are locally generated using Stable diffusion, without resorting to paying any generative AI company. Although paying them could have given me better tools and results, I decided not to pay for their use to support the claim of artists for fair royalties. (It is not possible to discuss such a complex issue here, but I will consider opening a discussion on the topic in the game forum, follow my game to be notified if it is created) Most of the artistic content in the game, mainly music, is compensated in various ways depending on the case to its artists. My original content is registered, but the images generated by AI are essentially treated as 'creative commons' and I consider them fanarts of my characters. All added scenes and backgrounds are of high quality and maintain good coherence, avoiding deformities in hands, eyes, etc., and without annoying or confusing shapes. All AI-generated images are generated, selected, and edited exclusively by me, the creator of the game, to reflect my original vision, previously inaccessible due to high costs. I have sought to include only select content that enriches the narrative and immersion of the game.

This game uses a Large Language Model to help parse out in-game player character data (quests, allied factions, in-game world events, NPCs the player has interacted with, etc.) to customize quest objectives and reword hand written dialogue to fit that particular player character's playthrough.
Image generation used for the store page only
Generative AI was used for the background of the store page capsule art.
During the development phase, some placeholder voices and vocal prototypes are generated using AI tools. These are used solely for iteration, testing, and internal production workflows. For the final release, all characters will be voiced by professional voice actors.
I use Grok to help render background images for Scenes and the stores in order to set the tone/atmosphere.
Generative AI was used during development to assist in the creation of some art and music assets, a portion of which are included in the final game. This includes select in-game visuals and music tracks that were generated or enhanced using AI tools. All AI-generated content was reviewed and curated by human developers to ensure it meets quality standards and does not infringe on any intellectual property. No live AI content is generated during gameplay. The game does not use AI to create or modify content while it is running. All assets are pre-generated and static within the final release.
I will not directly provide any AI services, but plan to only retain the interface for external AI to take over the game logic in the game. Users can use their own trained language models, and they can only solve problems such as computing power by themselves. I plan to not allow users to enter text in the game, so that users have no chance of inducing language model generation. However, some overfitting language models will ignore the prompts and output nfsw. At the same time, I used two methods: 1. Limit the output length and suppress it from the root. 2. Keyword check to see if nfsw content exists. If someone tries to report it, he should report it to the person who gave him the language model. If the user enables AI, I will change the name of the enabled AI service into a game watermark to prove that it is the user's own problem.
The aid of AI to generate Logo Art was used for Carth.
Using AI for the store page and store and Steam icons
There are two A.I. Minds within BQ. The first mind creates the content/visuals. The second mind interacts with the player in the form of attackable NPCs or friendly NPCs. But both minds never communicate with each other, and the first mind never communicates with the player.

AI processes were used in creating some of the icons in game
This game was initially developed without using Artificial Intelligence. Later, I added scenes and images improved with Generative Artificial Intelligence. They are locally generated using Stable diffusion, without resorting to paying any generative AI company. Although paying them could have given me better tools and results, I decided not to pay for their use to support the claim of artists for fair royalties.
