Public Steam disclosure research 25,383 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
IA was only used to help create the title illustration, by giving a drawing model and perspectives.
Artificial intelligence was used only for generating promotional and cover images. No AI systems are used in gameplay, story, or player interactions.
Generative AI tools were used to assist in creating some visual materials for the store page and marketing assets. In addition, AI tools were utilized to generate or enhance certain pre-rendered in-game 2D assets, including some sprites, textures, and UI elements (such as profile pictures). This use is limited to non-critical graphical materials.
AI tools were used to assist in creating some visual and audio assets. All generated content was reviewed, edited, and curated by the solo developer. 30% of profits will be used to replace AI assets.
AI has been used to generate the images for a few of the cards as they currently exist in Nightmares. Most of the card images are created by actual artists and we're working to have the remaining generated images replaced prior to launch.
The avatar/image materials of this game are dynamically generated by AI algorithms, combined with deep learning models and art style transfer techniques to ensure that each image is unique and rich in details. AI is only used for creative assistance, and the final content is manually reviewed to ensure compliance with community standards.
"Red Chair uses AI-assisted tools (such as ChatGPT and Midjourney) during development. AI was used to help generate story materials, detective case files, and narrative texts, as well as some promotional artworks and store capsules. All AI-assisted content was reviewed, edited, and finalized by our writing and art team before being included in the game. No gameplay logic, detective mechanics, or interactive features were generated by AI."
The capsule logo and lots of code were generated with AI.
We used AI tools to draft and refine store page text (descriptions and marketing copy). The game itself does not use AI-generated content at runtime.
Marketing materials only
Artificial intelligence was used in the cover photo and visuals of the game.
This product uses generative AI during development. Specifically, AI was used for: - Generating background music (BGM) - Creating translation texts No AI is executed in real time during gameplay, and it does not affect the player experience.
AI currently assists me with tasks I can’t handle alone without 'overspending.' It’s versatile—useful for generating images (though I edit them later), writing code, and more. Since I’m a beginner, I rely on it for almost everything, even just to verify parts of my games.
Game uses AI only for visual and text content. Card illustrations and free avatars were created with the help of AI tools. Some in-game texts were edited using AI.
The game's manager key art image was initially AI generated and then modified.
Texts, translations, image assets and music have been created in part or complete, through Generative AI models fit for their intended purpose.
AI was used to generate some images for the store page
AI is used only for Steam library artwork and promotional materials. The game itself contains no AI-generated content.
Promotional images, promotional videos, card images from the game.
During the development of this game, we used generative AI to help brainstorm early concepts for some of our characters and to assist in drafting marketing text. Every asset and piece of writing was then carefully reviewed, edited, and refined. The core gameplay, code, and final artwork are all the product of human creativity.
FLAIR uses generative AI to bring your ideas to life. Players can describe characters, items, buildings, or world elements, and the game will generate them directly in-game. Your creativity shapes the world.
use AI tools to draw some art assets
AI is currently used to illustrate part of the Action Cards due to budget limitations, awaiting the end of the related Kickstarter Campaign. Should the campaign ends positively, AI illustrations will be removed before the launch of the final product.
This game does not contain any AI-generated visual or audio assets. I only used AI as a tool for: - Brainstorming and idea generation - Assistance with translations and wording - Improvements to certain code sections and algorithms
We are using AI to generate texts that players will type in the game.
・AI image generation is used for some of the illustrations in the game.

We are an independent game studio. In this title, every keyframe composition, concept art, and storyboard originates from the original designs of our human artists. Our vision is for players to also take part in the creation of in-game content. To bring the "Player-Customized Spell Visuals" feature to life in future updates, we have experimentally introduced AI as an auxiliary tool during the rendering stage of combat visual effects. Rest assured, we invest an average of over 120 hours of hand-drawn work and refinement for every minute of combat footage, ensuring the most striking visual impact. All art assets in the game are fully copyrighted, comply with applicable laws and regulations, and represent the dedication of our team. Thank you for supporting independent developers!

AI has been used to help develop the game's cover art.
Ai powered jet behavior and enemy tactics enhance immersion and visuals
Officer images in game are made by AI and some UI button can be made by AI too.
AI has been used to help develop the game's cover art.
Only to create images and arts.
For some assets, we used AI to create initial prototypes for further refinement into the desired result.
AI was used to aid in the 3D modeling of the wands, as well as the main page artwork.
Some icons and visual elements used in promotional materials and on the store page were created with the help of artificial intelligence tools, with the aim of complementing the visual identity of the collection. The game content itself does not use AI.
Some visual elements, such as pavement textures, were partially created using AI tools during development.
For the creation of certain visual assets, such as promo art, icons, and capsules for the Steam page, we used tools based on generative artificial intelligence. This allowed us, as a small team, to bring our artistic vision to life and produce vivid images that capture the atmosphere of the game.
AI tools were used for some Game Assets.
I’ve used tools like Image Creator, Meshy, and assets from the Unreal Fab Shop some of which include AI-assisted content. These resources complement my own custom-made models and help fill creative gaps when needed. Final in-game assets will be a mix of original and properly licensed content. Most AI-generated content in my project is based on models I’ve created myself. I was born speaking French and English isn’t my native language, so I’ve used AI tools to help refine and improve my writing. From game dialogue to story descriptions and Kickstarter text, AI helps me correct grammar and make my ideas easier to read and understand for a broader audience. The creative direction and story are completely mine it just helps me express it better!
I have used AI to pre-render content. I have used AI to make some of the code that I use in the game. Such that AI has helped me make the best possible CPU and help with player physics.
AI is not used in the gameplay. The textures of the rank icon frames, rank textures, main menu textures, key textures, HUD textures, inventory textures, and city banner textures were generated in advance using a neural network and then manually edited. Weapon textures were selected from numerous generated images, and then models were made manually based on them. In most cases, the generated textures were modified. The models and textures of the characters in the game are made manually. The functions built into the engine are used to control enemies. All materials used do not violate copyright and comply with the rules.
