Where do games disclose AI use?
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across
games, and follow recorded changes.
This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to
statements published on individual store pages.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam.
Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
AI-assisted tools may also be used during development for temporary voice-over drafts, sound exploration, and visual concept iteration, strictly as part of the production workflow.
Final voice acting, sound effects, music selection, visual assets, and UI elements are curated, edited, or replaced by the developer before release to meet quality, consistency, and licensing standards.
No AI systems generate live audio, voices, images, or visual content during gameplay.
All final in-game audiovisual content is authored, validated, and intentionally integrated into the game experience.
AI use is quite limited to speech-to-speech models, allowing us to voice act many characters.
Fortunately, this voice is highly realistic since we actually do the acting ourselves, and use the AI to enhance it.
Additionally, AI is sparingly used for some images, and then manually cleaned up and modified by a professional artist.
This game used AI to help quickly iterate through designs for some UI elements using our own artwork as a baseline. AI is also used to help translate the game; and is used for the AlienGPT custom species system using player inputs.
Used AI powered video editing tool to animate the static images of our Rico Character and Sky Marshal. We used all our fully contracted and paid for existing content and images we had with these actors from our original recording sessions. No new AI content was generated.
Generation of some images and textures. Additional generation of locations (grass, rocks, vegetation). Rough text processing and translations into other languages.
We leveraged AI-generated content to enrich our game with elements that would have been otherwise challenging to include. Specifically, we used AI for the AI character voiceover in different languages, a feature made possible thanks to this technology. In this case it made even more sense since the character is actually an AI. Otherwise, all the core art and visual elements of the game have been designed by human talents.
We use Ai to detect offensive material being uploaded to use as stage backgrounds and facemasks. Ai is also used to flag offensive room names and descriptions. Use of AI art is used in some marketing material for the steam page and announcements
Some store images and promotional materials use AI-assisted visuals. The game itself does not contain any AI-generated content, and nothing is generated while playing.
