AI generation is used as a supporting tool for certain 3D assets and game code. AI-generated content is subsequently thoroughly refined by hand before being included in the game.
In The Final Shuffle, we incorporated AI-generated content for specific elements, including capsule images, library assets, and the game icon.
I put together the game's soundtrack using some AI tools to help with the initial ideas. They made it easy to quickly try out different melodies, beats, and sound effects, generating a bunch of variations in no time. From there, I went through everything by hand—tweaking, editing, and polishing until it all felt just right for the intense, quick matches. The AI was basically a time-saver that sped up brainstorming, but every final track was shaped and approved by me to nail that high-energy, competitive vibe. Some visual marketing assets on our store presence were created with generative AI and then manually edited/curated by our team. This includes certain store capsules and library images only.
Uses artificial intelligence to generate high-quality main quests, side quests and game scenes. All AI-created quests are story-driven and interconnected, not shallow or repetitive filler.
I used AIs for Items/Skill Icons
No AI is used in core development. We use AI sparingly for some initial aspects such as toy mock ups - all final models are made by our team. We also use to aid in ideation, some social media graphics, voices, sound track and renders. All core aspects, such as development work, maps, VFX, final toy models and code are done by hand and our development team of 30.

AI-assisted tools were used for some illustrations, music composition, text translation, and limited debugging support.
The lobby and character information screen backgrounds in this game were created using images generated by AI, which were then refined through an artist’s retouching process. Additionally, the background music (BGM) for in-game maps, excluding "Lilith's Atelier", was produced using AI generation tools.
Some of the static textures and of two background images, one background music track, and several promotional store page artworks and trailer segments were created using generative AI tools before development. All AI generated assets were manually edited, finalized and fixed before being included in the game or store page. just to be clear no AI is used during gameplay. Everything in the game (every line of code, every 2d, 3d, and audio asset) is written/made by either Kiyasui-Hito (the solo indie developer of this game) or a third-party entity as credited in the game's credits screen, without any assistance/use of AI. Text translations (in-game menus, store page descriptions) were done using AI. The temporary capsule image art on the store page is also AI generated. AI is used in this way because I have a low budget and my friend who is an artist is quite busy these days.
Due to time and budget constraints, we have received AI support in 2 UI elements. Our work plan will be to redesign them as soon as possible.
