Public Steam disclosure research25,376 disclosures tracked
Where do games disclose AI use?
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across
games, and follow recorded changes.
This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to
statements published on individual store pages.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam.
Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
Artificial intelligence is only used to generate pre-rendered visual and marketing content, such as promotional screenshots, Steam page visuals, and some non-interactive aesthetic elements.
No AI is used to generate gameplay, code, or live in-game content.
AI has been used for collaborative coding, with full human review of all code. AI may also be used for image generation, video generation, and music/sound generation, with full human review of all generated content.
Some of the game's music tracks were created using generative AI as a creative support tool. All compositions were manually selected, edited, and adapted to match the style and atmosphere of the game.
AI is used in certain aspects of AquaBall League's development, but always as a tool to assist and enhance human creativity, not replace it.
How We Use AI in Development & Marketing:
Pre-Rendered Assets: AI-assisted tools help generate concept art, environmental textures, and animation references to speed up workflows. However, final assets are created and refined by human artists.
Marketing & Store Page Content: AI is sometimes used for copywriting assistance (e.g., generating draft descriptions) and image upscaling, but all materials are reviewed and finalized by the development team.
Community Engagement: AI-powered tools may assist in moderating discussions or generating interactive content like chatbots for FAQs.
What We Do Not Use AI For:
We do not use AI-generated assets as final in-game models, animations, or sound.
We do not use AI to replace human-written narratives, character design, or core gameplay elements.
AI is just one of many tools we use to streamline production, but our focus remains on human creativity, originality, and player-driven innovation.
Generative AI may have been used in creating pre-rendered or live-generated content for this game. All such content is the result of a human-led artistic and creative process.
At SEGA Corporation, we utilize generative AI as a support tool for developers, aiming to provide better content to our users and enable developers to focus more on creative tasks.
We have used such generative AI support tools during development of SEGA FOOTBALL CLUB CHAMPIONS.
We used AI to create the capsules and library logos for the game's store page.
The voices in the trainer and customer dialogues were created using artificial intelligence.
We use the AI service to make chatting with some NPCs in our game more fun and some loading screens in the game. You will have to wait a while before you can talk to NPCs again. Also, this service requires internet.
During the development of the game, the generation of music samples was used, as well as the generation of image elements for character avatars and team emblems.
RaceOnLife uses AI-driven NPC systems to create more dynamic interactions inside the game world.
Some NPCs are designed to remember previous conversations, react to the player’s behavior, and respond differently depending on how the player communicates with them. These interactions may affect how NPCs guide, assist, ignore, challenge, or oppose the player during gameplay.
Our goal is to make the island feel more alive, where conversations with non-player characters are not just static dialogue lines, but part of the player’s personal journey through the story and open world.
AI features are used to support NPC behavior, dialogue variation, and player interaction systems. Core gameplay, world design, missions, vehicles, races, combat, progression, and major story content are created and directed by our development team.
For live AI interactions, we are working with safety rules and moderation limits to reduce the risk of inappropriate, harmful, or illegal generated content.
Most of the voices you hear in-game come directly from our friends and the development team. We used AI for a few characters, but we plan to replace them with professional voice actors as soon as we can.
The New Boss: Football Club utilizes pre-rendered generative AI to enhance the depth and visual variety of its world. This includes:
Character Portraits: Thousands of unique AI-generated faces for players and staff to ensure every 'fake name' in our database has a distinct identity.
Environmental Artwork: AI-assisted imagery used in game menus, background art, and narrative events to create a gritty, atmospheric 5th-league experience.
Marketing Materials: Select store assets, trailers, and promotional videos have been created or enhanced using AI tools to visualize the journey of the 'New Boss.'
All AI content is pre-rendered and integrated into the game files to ensure a high-quality, stable, and consistent experience for all players.
In TACTICS UNLIMITED, we use AI-generated, realistic-looking photos for male and female players. These images are displayed on the player profile or on the staff screen, for example.
In WE ARE FOOTBALL 2024 we use about 12,500 AI-generated realistic-looking photos for generic male and female players. These pictures are displayed, e.g., on the line-up screen or on the player profile screens.
My game uses AI quite frequently. Every logo you see is a product of the collaboration between a human and an AI. Every song you hear is a product of human-AI collaboration. Every player report card uses AI generated text modularly pieced together from smaller chunks.
The match commentator is using an AI generated voice.
This is a modern game that uses modern technology to its full potential.
Translation into some languages (in the game and on the store page) and some of the store page assets were made with the assistance of AI. Some elements inside the game like shirts, items, textures, sounds, models and others may be generated with the assistance of AI.
