AI used to create cursor for the game, few gameplay icons and for company's webpage
We use AI to create RPG Maker plugins that adjust parts of the game engine to improve game experience.
Yes AI is used. Just like the other 90% of games in development today. Hey, at-least we are one of the honest ones.
ONLY ! Some 2D arts, billboards, and adverts throughout the city are created by AI. It is also used for some of the voice actors.
We used generative AI for the studio's logo design and for the panels displayed in the cutscene when the new game starts.
AI-generated art object
We used AI image-generation tools when creating some in-game images.
The game uses AI to create some graphic assets.
During the development of D.R.I.F.T., some AI tools may have been used for optimization and generating graphics. However, AI is not used in the game at any point during gameplay.
This game utilizes generative AI in a supplementary role to create and modify some of the image assets. Our use of generative AI includes: Creation from scratch: An image of a digital scale. Editing and processing of original/stock photos: A stylized illustration of the motorcycle used in the game's logo. Images of a fictional map book titled "Touring Mapping". Weather effects (such as adding rain) to some of the background images. The core of this game—the actual photos taken by the developer in 2007—are not generated by AI.
Haze uses AI to generate unique, procedural game content that ensures no two playthroughs are identical. AI-Generated Content: - Scene Imagery: Scenes are generated using Replicate's imagen-4 model, creating unique visual environments as players explore - Narrative & Dialogue: Google Gemini generates scene descriptions, story text, and contextual responses based on player actions - Interactive Elements: AI analyzes scenes to determine clickable areas, available actions, and discoverable items How It Works: When players explore the game world, AI services generate new scenes and narrative content in real-time based on the current story context and player choices. This creates a dynamic, branching experience where the horror unfolds differently for each player. Data Usage: Player interactions are processed to generate contextually appropriate content during gameplay. No player data is used to train AI models. Game content is generated on-demand and stored locally on the player's device.
I’m a solo dev (writer/coder) with no art budget or ability, so all visuals are AI-generated and then hand-edited by me. I spent hundreds of hours curating 300+ illustrations for character consistency: it's about 90% there, with occasional quirks I keep patching. No AI runs during gameplay (everything is pre-rendered), and all writing, choices, and code are human-made. If AI art isn’t for you, I totally understand, then please skip this game.
Generative AI tools were used during development to create some visual assets (such as UI artwork and promotional images). All AI-assisted assets were reviewed and manually edited to match DraQu’s style and quality standards.
We are using Generative AI for our Main Capsule, Header Capsule, and Small Capsule, which are displayed across the Steam Store. In-game, a voice-changing AI tool is used to generate custom voices for voice acting.
This game uses AI-generated images that were created during the development phase (e.g., for backgrounds, characters, or other visual assets). No AI-generated content is created or modified while the game is running. All AI-generated content complies with Steam Store requirements, and no copyrighted or impersonating material has been used.
The developers of this game have used generative AI to create various visual and audio aspects of the experience.

Artificial intelligence was only used as a supportive tool in creating some marketing visuals. All gameplay, content, and art assets are fully handcrafted.
Some in-game illustrations were created using generative AI tools. All AI-generated assets were reviewed and edited by our development team to ensure originality and compliance with copyright policies.
We have utilized AI-assisted design for the store materials and some 2D background images within the game. However, these are not purely AI-generated; they are based on our original photographs that were enhanced using AI technology, and subsequently refined manually to ensure quality.
This game contains visuals enhanced by AI.
This game utilizes generative artificial intelligence as an assistive tool in the localization process for a wide range of languages; however, every line of dialogue and text has undergone rigorous human curation. The goal was to preserve the cultural nuances and emotional integrity of the narrative across all 29 languages, ensuring an authentic horror experience no matter where you are. The narrative structure, sound design, and art were created and directed entirely by humans, without any AI support.
AI was used for the store page cover
Character portraits are pre-rendered by AI along with some voices. These are placeholder assets and will not be in the final product.
We used AI to generate some of the images.
This game includes limited use of generative AI during development. Generative AI was used in the creation of the game’s logo and certain background visuals, and was used to generate a small number of sound effects. Additional audio assets were sourced from third-party asset stores and integrated into the project in accordance with their licenses. All remaining content, including gameplay design, implementation, art, and systems, was created directly by the developer. No generative AI is used during gameplay and it does not affect the player experience.
An LLM was used for some text, marketing and video backgrounds.
Music, graphics and a large portion of the quiz questions are pre-generated by AI before manual review and editing.
Based on our Frontline 1 assets, we've leveraged the innovative capabilities of AI to elevate our visuals by enhancing the graphics for some of the background & art images.
We use AI in early conceptual design, to figure out an appropriate background art. We then go through several iterations manually with artist modifications, to produce a good, highly polished background that gels well with our characters, story and intended art style. Our characters are hand drawn by humans. Our objects are hand drawn by humans. All user interface (UI) elements are hand drawn by humans. All animations are hand drawn and meticulously rigged (also by humans) using bone animation.
Title: Disclosure of AI-Generated Content Disclaimer: This game contains art assets that were created with the assistance of generative AI tools. All AI-generated content was heavily curated, edited, and modified by our human art team to ensure it aligns with the game's unique artistic vision and quality standards. We affirm that we have the appropriate rights to all assets, both AI-generated and human-created, used in our game.
This game uses AI-generated images that were created during the development phase (e.g., for backgrounds, characters, or other visual assets). No AI-generated content is created or modified while the game is running.
Generated Animation and Cutscene Assets. Also used to do English paragraph checks and spelling.
Some of the music used in the game and promotional materials was generated or composed using artificial intelligence systems.
The HUD icons are currently AI-generated placeholders. They will be replaced with hand-drawn icons a bit later (once I find a good UI artist).
Some of the 2D images were created using AI.
Some background images are generated using AI, as well as the images of the department leaders in the game. The voices of a news reporter in the game and the voices in the game trailer and in the educational tutorials (on the tutorial website) are created with the help of AI.
In the game project, AI was used to write part of the code. Developers only need to describe requirements in natural language—such as designing gameplay mechanics or optimizing the UI—and AI can automatically generate corresponding code snippets. It also supports code completion, bug fixing, and performance optimization. This significantly boosts development efficiency, lowers development barriers, and makes the game development process more efficient and convenient.
AI used in this game includes several language translations and some textures.
"Some of the game’s pre-rendered assets, including anime-style images, were created using generative AI tools. Additionally, certain dialogues and store page descriptions were assisted by AI. No content is generated live during gameplay; all AI-assisted content is fixed and fully reviewed to ensure it meets appropriate content standards. Players will not encounter dynamic AI-generated content while playing the game."
I used AI to generate the assets and assist in code development, but AI is not used in-game.
"Red Chair uses AI-assisted tools (such as ChatGPT and Midjourney) during development. AI was used to help generate story materials, detective case files, and narrative texts, as well as some promotional artworks and store capsules. All AI-assisted content was reviewed, edited, and finalized by our writing and art team before being included in the game. No gameplay logic, detective mechanics, or interactive features were generated by AI."
Throughout the development of our game, we may leverage AI-based tools to assist our small two-person team in content creation, but please rest assured that what you see in the game primarily reflects the creativity and hard work of our team; all core gameplay mechanics, level design, story, and programming were created entirely by our developers. Specifically, AI tools were utilized to generate atmospheric background music, eerie sound effects, and ambient noises for the Sound Design and Music, and were also used for minor visual elements such as unique textures, pictures, and posters used in some of our environments.
This game uses generative AI tools during development to create certain pre-rendered visual assets, such as application icons and desktop wallpapers.
AI tools assisted in generating specific store asset components, which human artists then edited, refined, and finalized.
Some of the game's background images and icons were created with AI assistance.
We used partial ai generated code to aid development.
