Where do games disclose AI use?
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across
games, and follow recorded changes.
This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to
statements published on individual store pages.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam.
Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
Some elements of the game were created with the help of AI-assisted tools and were then further developed through manual work — modified, improved, and integrated to align with the game’s overall style and vision.
We use AI mostly for images (Dall-E), music (Suno), and SFX (elevenlabs), but we edit everything and use it as a budget-friendly option. We plan to replace it if the game goes well.
Golf-Like" is an independently designed game featuring custom core mechanics, procedural systems, and original game logic created entirely by the developer. Generative AI tools were utilized during the pre-production phase as technical aids to assist in drafting pre-rendered assets, including background audio and preliminary visual models. All final assets were thoroughly curated, adjusted, and integrated by the developer. The game does not feature any real-time or runtime AI generation during gameplay.
Spud Customs is made by Lost Rabbit Digital: two siblings who handle all the coding, music, writing, and playtesting ourselves, with help from one additional artist, and one musician. We're a tiny team with no outside funding. To keep up, we sometimes use AI tools to brainstorm or generate rough drafts. But nothing ships without our hands on it. Every line of code, every sprite, every track is reviewed, rewritten, and refined by us.
I used AI images incredibly sparingly; I also modified the original AI image templates to get a desired outcome. The examples are -- the games text logo "Addled Clicker" was original AI before being edited heavily, a single image depicting a lovecraftian blob was used in one of the monster descriptions -- again, heavily edited, and finally in the in-game merchant, the background is a blurred lovecraftian manuscript that was AI generated as well.
Due to my limited artistic ability, I have made use of a generative artificial intelligence —diffusion model, on the store page to assist in the display of promotional and sales images. But please rest assured that the game screenshots are all taken from real playing process. Finally, I hope you enjoy my independent game!
Some 3D content in the game itself is generated by neural radiance fields / photogrammetry. All screenshots on the store page are actual screenshots of the game play.
The in-game images were generated using AI and meticulously reviewed and approved by our in-house art team to ensure a diverse, immersive experience that fits the crime scene context and aligns with the game's graphic style. No images are generated during gameplay.
Additionally, the assistant that accompanies the player at the crime scene sometimes intervenes using artificial intelligence to analyze the scene in real time, enhancing the realism of both the crime scenes and the overall gaming experience. Thanks to AI integration, all suspects are brought to life in a vivid and believable manner, enabling players to conduct detailed interrogations and determine who is innocent or guilty when the interrogation is executed correctly.

No AI art is used. I do use AI to help with programming sometimes. Some small functions in code were written with AI. Other times AI will give me ideas about how to approach a programming problem.
In AbstractPunk, AI was used for speech synthesis, referencing the earlier Evil Indie Games title, NO THING. AI is used in AbstractPunk to generate character speech and sounds. The collage-style graphics in the game feature AI-generated elements as well as numerous distortions caused by AI.
The game uses AI-generated images for textures on walls, paintings, and parts of the interface. However, most of these images have been manually edited post-generation, except for most paintings.
We used AI to generate the two images we have in the game and the music, but we make a promise here: as soon as we can afford, we're getting rid of it and replacing it with human art.
The Image Materials Are All Drawn Manually And Then Beautified With The Help Of Ai Tools, And The Final Details Are Modified And Adjusted In Image Editing Software.
Use for background in title page, card backs and main menu background. Some menu options.
Plan is to replace these eventually but on launch, there will be some AI content
Operation: Strike & Secure uses generative artificial intelligence to create certain visual elements, including the background image of its main menu. This image was generated using an AI tool to bring a unique and immersive aesthetic to the game interface. However, no AI is used to generate real-time content during gameplay, and all other visual and mechanical elements were created and verified by the development team. The AI-generated image meets copyright requirements and has been carefully checked to ensure it fits the theme and atmosphere of the game.
