Public Steam disclosure research 25,376 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.

Only some 2D design
We use Ai to generate some of the 2D art and sounds.
Our game does not use AI in gameplay, character behavior, or system design. A small portion of the game's artwork was created using AI-assisted tools during the development process. All other assets and content were manually created by our team.

we created store page art using AI Dalle 3 and we have all the IP rights to use this image in our game according to their usage policy ( open AI).

During development AI was used for : - Images for 3D texturing - SFX generation - Parts of code
This game uses AI-generated assets during Early Access only. We used generative AI tools to create placeholder content such as textures, music, sound effects, and artwork, in order to accelerate development and testing during Early Access. None of this content is generated at runtime — it is all pre-generated and static. For the full release, we are fully committed to replacing all AI-generated assets with original, human-created content. Transparency is important to us, and we’re actively working toward removing AI placeholders before the final version.
Some images on the store page and within the game include AI-generated and modified images.
Just the icons and store page art none of the actual game is AI generated in any way or contains any AI within it

Image generative AI was used to create the steam page artwork and in game icons.
AI Voice changing software was used for voice overs to change the voice actors voice into character voices. Character portraits were drafted by AI and repainted/remastered by an artist.
We use AI during our production process to facilitate quest integration through our in-house tool, HanaCore. It allows us to synthesize, correct, and integrate quests while fully respecting the existing lore. We also use AI to assist with code generation, helping us save valuable development time.
Some visual assets, such as store capsule images and in-game card illustrations, were created with the assistance of generative AI tools. All gameplay and code are original.

I am currently using ElevenLabs synthetic voices for my eight characters. The synthetic voices are generated from scratch. They are not clones of any real people. I look forward hiring professional voice actors once the game is successful.
Some posters and advertisements in the video game world have been generated by AI.
RaceOnLife uses AI-driven NPC systems to create more dynamic interactions inside the game world. Some NPCs are designed to remember previous conversations, react to the player’s behavior, and respond differently depending on how the player communicates with them. These interactions may affect how NPCs guide, assist, ignore, challenge, or oppose the player during gameplay. Our goal is to make the island feel more alive, where conversations with non-player characters are not just static dialogue lines, but part of the player’s personal journey through the story and open world. AI features are used to support NPC behavior, dialogue variation, and player interaction systems. Core gameplay, world design, missions, vehicles, races, combat, progression, and major story content are created and directed by our development team. For live AI interactions, we are working with safety rules and moderation limits to reduce the risk of inappropriate, harmful, or illegal generated content.
Some photos icons.
Music is AI generated. Store capsule and library image are AI generated.
AI has been used in this game to create backgrounds and some flat illustrations in the game. Backgrounds and images have then been modified and retouched by the studio to fit the game.
This game used AI for the Chinese and Spanish localizations. English and Portuguese localizations were NOT made using AI.

Custom AI Game image graphics
AI helped us create graphic assets such as most icons in the game
In Rivandy, Artificial Intelligence is only used as a creative assistant. Since we are a very small team, AI helps us mainly with artistic aspects—such as illustrations to enhance immersion, or voice generation to ensure consistency across characters. Occasionally, it may assist in code prototyping to unblock situations. However, the game itself is essentially human-made: the core code, design, and mechanics are developed by us, and all visual assets such as FX and 3D models are purchased, not AI-generated. This way, we can stay focused on building a unique, handcrafted experience while using AI only as a supportive tool.
This game uses AI-generated content during its development. Some of the 2D artwork and promotional images were created with the assistance of AI tools. All such content is pre-generated, curated by the developer, and remains static within the final product. The game does not feature real-time AI content generation during gameplay.

Yes. We are using AI power in our UI elements.
"My game leverages Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies to dynamically create and enhance several aspects of the visual experience. Specifically, I use AI for: Application Icon: The game's icon is generated with AI, offering a unique and engaging visual that reflects the game's theme and atmosphere. Mouse Cursor Replacement: I've designed AI-generated mouse cursors that adapt to different game environments and contexts, providing a seamless and immersive interaction experience. GUI Sprites: Certain elements of the game's graphical user interface (GUI) are created using AI, allowing for a diverse and dynamic presentation that evolves based on gameplay and player choices. I am committed to ensuring that all AI-generated content adheres to Steam's standard store requirements. To this end, I have implemented robust guardrails to prevent the generation of inappropriate or illegal content within my game. I have conducted thorough testing to ensure that the AI behaves as intended, and I continuously monitor and update my AI systems to maintain the highest standards of content integrity and respect for copyright. Furthermore, I encourage our community to report any instances of inappropriate or unexpected AI-generated content through the Steam Overlay's reporting tools. I am dedicated to addressing any such issues promptly to ensure a positive and respectful gaming environment for all players. My use of AI is aimed at enhancing the visual appeal and interactivity of my game, making each player's experience unique and engaging. I believe that this innovative approach to game design will offer players a fresh and dynamic gaming experience."
This game uses generative AI during its development to create a limited number of pre-rendered assets. Specifically, some of the static loading screen art was created with the assistance of AI tools. All of these assets were finalized and reviewed by our team before the game's release to ensure they meet quality standards and adhere to Steam's content policies. There is no live or real-time AI generation of content while the game is running.
We are using AI for testing content and ideas, our future focus is to make all of the content traditionally by hand to bring a good work like early stages of development in the game. AI usage is mainly used for concept content and support during the most complicated parts from the development of the game, the entirety of Ghoul Fright core is hand made
The main presentation photos in the store page and the presentation photos in the game library were generated using AI.
Game art
Some images in the middle of map loading are retouched using AI to improve their appearance, artistic retouching of some images for advertising, original images (screenshots) were used and retouched to make them more striking.

Some images generated with AI are present in the loading screens and the intro cinematic.
The game uses AI-generated audio prompts for certain characters (english only).
