I’m a good programmer, but a terrible artist. So some of the images were created with the help of AI. By the time of release, I’ll try to remove all AI-generated images from the Steam page and from some textures in the game.
This game uses generative artificial intelligence tools during parts of its development process. AI assistance was used in a limited capacity for implementing certain minor systems and supporting the coding workflow, representing a small portion of the overall codebase. In addition, some visual assets and UI elements were created or enhanced using AI-generated imagery, often combined with manual editing and integration to fit the game’s style and design.
Generative AI tools were used to refine store descriptions and assist with the translation of certain UI elements to provide a better experience for international players. All visual assets and core gameplay mechanics are original creations.
Dead Reckoning is written, and designed by one person. I want to be precise about where AI tools do and don't appear in it. Creative content — no generative AI. All writing, narrative, and design is mine. I've worked as a technical writer for twelve years; the game's voice is my own. All art and visual assets are hand-made or licensed from named human artists. All music and sound effects are licensed from named human creators (public domain / Creative Commons) — none of it is AI-generated. This is a hard line and I intend to keep it. Development & release tooling — where AI assists. I use AI in the engineering and release pipeline only, never to author the game itself: - Coding assistance while writing the game's GDScript. - An automated QA/test harness that plays the simulation thousands of times to catch crashes and balance regressions. - Assistance in building linters (Valve YAML sheets) that check the project's text. - Drafting and summarizing the release notes (patch notes) from the project's changelog. None of this creates any of the writing, art, audio, or design inside the game. Localization. The four translations (German, French, Italian, Spanish) are machine-translated by DeepL from my English source, with automated guards that fall back to English wherever a translation would break. This is an accessibility vs. quality decision, and I decided on the former. Proper localizations are planned and will be contracted out if the budget allows.
Translation (it will change in the future)
This game made auxiliary use of pre-generated AI tools during solo development to improve efficiency in areas such as programming code scripts, game system data structure design, draft text writing, and the creation of certain UI icons (such as trait nodes). All AI-assisted content in the game—including code, graphic assets, and text—was thoroughly reviewed, revised, and reworked by the developer to align with the game's intended direction. This game does not include live-generated AI content that is created through real-time interaction with players.
Sector Scavengers was built almost 100% using AI agents and tools. Makko.ai created the game art, animations, and game code/logic, and the trailers were made with a combination of Grok and 11 Labs.

The graphical elements on the steam page is generated by AI. The images in the game is generated by AI, but the goal is to change them in the future.
AI coding tools were used during development. All visual assets, music, writing, and narrative content are human-made. An alternative wireframe visual mode is also available.
Dust & Diamonds is a 100% solo project. The idea for this game came to me a few days after my son was born — my first child. I was celebrating with my cousin and bet him I could build something like Motherload in two weeks. As you've probably guessed, I lost that bet spectacularly. I'm writing this almost a year later, and my son turns one in a few days. I have a degree in computer game engineering, but I live in a small town with no game studios — so I drive a pallet jack around a warehouse by day and build this game after hours. I can't afford to hire an artist or a composer. To bring this world to life at all, I turned to generative AI tools. I'm not going to hide that. How does the game use AI? Graphics (2D): A significant portion of the visual assets — character portraits, environment elements, buildings — was generated using AI, then manually retouched, edited, and assembled by me in the engine into a cohesive style with a parallax system. Music and sound: The musical tracks in the game were generated by AI. Fittingly, this ties directly into the game's lore — the "Relics of the Old World" (our 21st century) collected by the goblins are canonically works created by AI before the great cataclysm, carrying the lost wisdom of humanity. What's mine in this game is the design: how the economy works, how water behaves in a flooded shaft, when a ceiling collapses, what the old man says across the counter. I came up with each of these systems, wrote them out, tested them, and reworked them a dozen times until they behaved the way I wanted. I'm just a regular guy who had an idea for a game about digging in the dirt and was stubborn enough to see it through. Thank you for your understanding and support.
AI was used to create 3D models of game units
Some assets in Colonus were created with generative AI assistance and refined by hand.
I'm a game/level designer so I used visual scripting to make games. AI was used to generate the code of some elements of the game that were too complicated to do in visual scripting. SFX and Voices were also generated by AI.
I am a single developer. AI is used to speed up some processes, some marketing and concept materials are made with AI as a base to improve on and deliver better game. There are optional AI soundtracks in the game.
As a small, two-person independent development team, we utilized generative AI tools to create some of our character visuals and background artworks due to budget constraints. To ensure originality and maintain our artistic vision, these AI tools were guided by our own artist's original work, with their explicit permission. Please note that these AI-generated assets are currently serving as placeholders. As development continues and our resources grow, we plan to replace them with original, hand-drawn artwork in future updates. The game does not feature any live AI content generation during gameplay.
Some minor visual assets, such as icons and UI elements, were created or assisted using licensed AI tools during development. All AI-assisted content has been reviewed, edited, and integrated by the developer to ensure consistency with the overall art direction and quality standards. AI is not used in gameplay systems, code, or real-time content generation.
Background music and SFX were generated using generative AI (pre-rendered).
Development may involve AI and procedural tools, but the final content is shaped and finished by our team
During development, AI-based language tools were used to assist with the localization of in-game text across the languages supported by the game. All AI-assisted translations were reviewed, edited, and validated by the developer before inclusion in the build. The game does not connect to any AI service at runtime; no content is generated live during gameplay.
Cursor was used to assist in developing the game code.
The Early Access version of Plentiful uses AI-assisted machine translation for localization. No generative AI was used to create gameplay content, art, or audio.
We used AI to create initial translations, which were then reviewed and refined by a human editor.
AI was used to translate the following languages: -Japanese -Russian -French -Portuguese
We use AI as a tool to help support parts of our game development workflow, not to replace the creativity behind the game. It helps us speed up iteration and improve efficiency in certain areas, while the ideas, design, art direction, and overall vision remain entirely shaped by our team. For us, AI is simply one of many tools that helps us spend more time focused on making the best game possible.
Some images, dubbing, text, and some 3D models were partially created using AI tools.
Some artworks were generated with AI tools and edited.
Some voice acting, music, and graphics(SVG) and game capsules/main menu art were created using AI generation tools All content was reviewed and curated by the developer.
To generate 2D art for cards, 2D characters, logos, etc.
AI Society uses local generative AI (via Ollama) to power each character's behavior, dialogue, and decision-making. Based on the personality traits, hobbies, and description you set for each character, the AI determines their daily routines, job choices, relationships, and what they post on the in-game social media feed. All AI processing runs entirely on the player's machine — no data is sent to external servers.
AI tools are used to localize the game and related content into all supported languages other than English.
Generative AI tools were used during development to assist in creating art, 3D models, music, and code. All AI-assisted content was manually reviewed and altered for optimization to align with the aesthetic and vision for the game.

This game does not contain any AI-generated visual or audio assets. AI tools were used solely as development assistance for: • Translation assistance • Text proofreading and wording suggestions • Code review, debugging, and programming assistance • Brainstorming and general development support All game content, assets, and code were created, reviewed, and curated by the developer. Any AI-assisted output was subject to human review and modification before inclusion in the game.
Adobe Photoshop and other AI-powered image generation tools were used during the development of this game.
Some of the capsule art and promotional banners for this title may contain assets created with the assistance of AI generation tools
This product contains AI-generated images used for certain in-game artwork. As a solo developer without a budget, I don't have means to obtain and use the real art at this moment. In case of commercial success I plan to replace AI-generated art with an art from real artists. All gameplay systems and mechanics are designed by me.
AI was used for the development of the game and its promotion.
