Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
This game was developed with the assistance of AI for textures, translations, and scripting.
Use AI to provide certain assistance.
AI helps me create textures or sounds.
Only use AI to assist in generating promotional materials.
The game's art assets were created with the assistance of AI tools, including ChatGPT and Tencent Hunyuan. The game's music and sound effects were generated using Suno. Localized text for languages other than Chinese was translated with the assistance of ChatGPT. AI-assisted programming tools, including ChatGPT, were also used during the game's development.
Our team uses AI tools to help develop some in-game and marketing content.
OpenAI ImageGen was used during development to generate and edit some pre-generated 2D pixel-art visual assets, including UI elements, icons, backgrounds, environment artwork, and character or animation source frames. All outputs were reviewed, selected, manually edited, cleaned up, resized, palette-normalized, and integrated by the developer as fixed game assets. The game does not use generative AI at runtime and does not generate live AI content.
In ALASH, we utilized generative AI as a supplementary tool to assist in creating 2D art assets. Specifically, AI networks were used to help develop certain environment elements, textures, and background images to enhance the unique visual style of our alternate history setting. Please note that all game design, core mechanics, storyline, tower defense logic, and programming code were created entirely by hand by our development team. AI was used solely to support our artistic vision, ensuring that the integrity and soul of the gameplay remain entirely human-made.
Generative AI tools were used to support the creation and iteration of some visual assets and development-related content. All final assets are reviewed, edited, and selected by the developer before being included in the game or promotional materials. The game does not generate AI content live during gameplay.
As a solo developer, AI has been used as a tool to get the game where it is today. Primary used as a tool to help with areas of development and certain text generations. No art or music was generated by AI. 95% of the artwork in the game is procedurally generated by code, while the rest is hand done by me. The music was also created by me specifically for the game. AI was used in places like name and description generations for items in the game as well as some text areas within the tutorial coach text to help guide players through the initial stages of the game.
We used A.I. in some assets of our game.

Some of the displayed visuals were generated with the assistance of AI.
AI was used to help program the game. All art, assets, and game design decisions did not use any AI.
OpenAI image generation was used to create a pre-generated background image used in some of the game's Steam store capsule artwork and screenshots. The image is fixed and was reviewed by the developer. No content is generated using AI during gameplay.
Some of the sound effects, visuals, and models in this game were created with the help of artificial intelligence.
Generative AI tools were used during development to assist with refining some text, code, and images. Some in-game textures were also generated using AI. All AI-assisted content was reviewed, edited, and integrated by the developer. The game does not generate AI content during gameplay.

Some visual assets were created with the help of generative AI tools.
The visual art in Palimpsest Idle (character, enemy, weapon, equipment, icon and background art) was created during development using AI image generation tools, then curated, processed and hand-assembled by the developer. The game's two music tracks were produced during development using an AI music composition service under a licence granting full ownership of the resulting compositions. Sound effects are royalty-free library recordings and are not AI-generated. No content is generated while the game is running - all assets ship as fixed files, and the game makes no network requests during play.
Generative AI tools were used in creating and refining promotional artwork and marketing assets for this game's Steam store page. The game does not use live-generated AI during gameplay.
AI image generation has been used on object artwork and asset creation
I cannot draw and I have no experience with graphics either, which is why I turned to AI for the images in the game: the creatures, items, zones and the class portraits. I picked, edited and placed every single one of them myself, and plenty were thrown out again before the rest fit together.
Generative AI tools have been used in a limited capacity to assist with pre-generated promotional content. All AI-assisted material is reviewed and curated by the developer. No generative AI is used during gameplay, and the game does not connect to external AI services.
Generative AI tools were used during development to generate artwork for the Steam store capsule images and promotional graphics.
Coppersmog is a game created independently by me, a father, a husband and a video game hobbyist. I'm proud to say that I designed the game, directed it, and decided what made it fun to play. I also built it with the help of generative AI. I wanted to tell you this fact plainly so that my honesty could help bridge your concerns and inform your choice to play this game. Here is what the AI contribution actually means in this game and with me specifically. Every decision in this game is mine. The world, the rules, how a room feels, what a blorb is, and what's allowed to happen to one, I set it all. To be honest, I throw away most of what AI generates because it just doesn't "get it" most of the time. AI has no taste. It cannot tell when something is right, funny, or profound. It can make an enormous number of things, but it cannot decide which of them belongs in Coppersmog. That judgement is the heart of the job. That judgement is my most important aspect of what I do. AI gives me is attempts, drafts and options. It writes code segments, runs thousands of fight simulations, and fixes my grammar and then I cut, change, reject, and try again. AI is wrong constantly. Sometimes it builds a second version of something the game already has. Sometimes it forgets a decision we made weeks ago. Sometimes it writes code that looks perfect and never runs. There's a lot of invisible work to keep those pieces pointed in the same direction. Orchestrating it all falls to me. I know that AI integration is not acceptable to everyone and so I wanted to be honest about how I'm using it to give you a chance to make an informed decision. If you read all of this and decide that Coppersmog is not for you, that's a completely fair choice. I want you to make choices that are best for you, using the facts in front of you. One thing that brings me comfort as I wrestle with where I want AI to be in my life is that this is a hobby project that made me smile quite a bit. I'm proud of my little world. Thank you.
Daily code audits using AI, mainly focussed on optimization. Some hud art is generated as concept art, then altered or remade to specifically fit the game theme. We plan to replace all before release. Actual building blocks and pixelart is partly bought from isometric art sellers and most of them recrafted by hand. No AI content is generated during gameplay.
Generative AI tools were used during development to assist with creating and refining select 2D artwork, icons, and marketing materials, as well as game and marketing copy localization. All AI-assisted content is reviewed, edited, and curated by the developer before being included in the game. Soulstonia does not use generative AI to create content live during gameplay.
Generative AI was used as a development aid for some pre-generated marketing artwork, concept artwork, localization drafts, and selected visual assets. All AI-assisted content was reviewed and edited by the developer before inclusion. The game does not generate AI content during gameplay or connect to external AI services.
CrashFest is a one-person game, built in Unity between coffee and complaints from playtesters. It started as a physics experiment about shoving a low-poly car off a ledge and got out of hand once six controllers were plugged in. I’m a software engineer, not an artist. So a good chunk of CrashFest was made together with Claude AI — art direction, shaders, menus, the visual bits I’d never have drawn on my own — and the soundtrack comes out of Suno. The code, the physics and every questionable design decision are mine.
Ai has been used to generate the Steam Store Page and the needed assets.
Some in-game sprites and icons were created using AI. The artwork on the Steam Store page was also created using AI.
Some illustrations in‑game are created using AI‑generated frameworks, followed by subsequent manual refinement.
Some pre-generated 2D artwork used in the game and in Steam store and marketing materials was created with the assistance of generative AI tools. All AI-assisted assets were selected, reviewed, edited, and integrated by the development team before inclusion. No content is generated by AI during gameplay, and the game does not connect to live generative AI services.
The vast majority of assets are created by me or commercially licensed. I have used AI-generated assets for a few buildings and UI elements as a base end then modified heavily in Photoshop. I am a solo developer and know it’s a controversial topic, but I hope the 1000+ hours I have spent in Photoshop shines through, but I still want to be honest.
Some marketing capsules, some icons, then reworked by an artist.
Some images and audio were generated using AI.
Uses voice cloning by Speechify. Uses AI generated images uploaded by other users to Pixabay when there wasn't a better alternative available. Most such images are for character portraits and similar placeholder assets of secondary importance. There is no prompt or direct AI usage.
icons and images were generated with using AI
AI was used to write code and structure ideas. For art and music it wasn't used.
Generative AI tools were used during development to create portions of the game’s artwork and sound.
As a solo developer, I used a combination of purchased assets, original artwork, and AI-assisted tools to create and refine game assets.
Generative AI tools were used to create marketing copy and selected promotional materials, as well as to translate and localize in-game, marketing, and community texts.
This project used AI-assisted tools during development, primarily for promotional artwork, code development, the creation of art assets, and music production. AI was mainly used to improve development efficiency and assist in creating original content.
