Public Steam disclosure research 25,380 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
It helped me with some integrations
Some Store Page assets were modified and or enhanced with generative AI.
translations into non-English languages (otherwise I could not translate the game into everyone's language in good time)
AI is used to generate realistic conversations with Non-Playable Characters.
FUNEX is a game designed with the help of AI. Also, FUNEX logo and some other image assets could contain AI designs.
ai assisted programming and level testing
This game uses generative artificial intelligence to create images and 3D models based on period (American Civil War) photographs and illustrations.
Artificial Intelligence is used to generate the following assets in the game: Text translations and images inside the simulated webpages.
Some visual assets used for HackMeNow’s Steam store page, community assets, and marketing materials were created with the assistance of generative AI tools and then reviewed/selected by the developer. The game itself does not use live generative AI during gameplay. No AI system generates player-facing text, images, audio, code, missions, or other dynamic content while the game is being played.
AI-Assisted Production
AI Used for the art work in this game.
Elftia is an AI agent platform. Through an included service, it connects to leading third-party AI models - large language models and image, video, music and speech generators - to power its agents. Elftia does not bundle, train or fine-tune any model of its own; all content is generated in real time by those models in response to the user's input. New users receive free starter credits, and additional usage can be purchased through Steam. Conversations and generated content are saved to the user's local library on their device.
Achievement icons in this game were created with the assistance of generative AI tools. All assets were reviewed and curated by the development team.
Hero portraits and flavour text were created by AI tools.
Some of the game's art assets were created with the assistance of generative AI tools.
1) Bundled sample project. All of the Quillhollow-specific data in the optional, read-only "A Christmas Carol" sample project was AI-generated to demonstrate how the app organizes a manuscript: the character, location, plot-thread, theme, and world-building cards and their descriptions, along with tags, links, beats, pins, and scene statuses. The sample's prose is the public-domain text of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol (from Standard Ebooks, released under CC0) and is not AI-generated. 2) Store page and marketing text. Some of the written copy on the store page and in our marketing materials was drafted with AI assistance and then reviewed and edited by a human before publication.
Generative AI tools were used during parts of the development process.
Some of the English text content and translations in this game were created with the help of generative AI tools. All text has been reviewed and edited by our development team to ensure accuracy and educational quality.
Generative AI was used to create initial game art concepts and certain marketing materials. Final in-game assets were reviewed and modified by the development team.
Authorisation Engine uses generative AI tools during development to assist with selected pre-generated assets and production materials, including some store artwork and audio/localization workflow support. All such content is reviewed and curated before inclusion. The game does not live-generate gameplay content with AI at runtime.
Pixel Q is a local AI assistant that utilizes large language models (LLMs) for real-time conversational AI. All AI models run locally on the user's device. Safety guardrails are enforced through restrictive prompt engineering, output filtering, and the inherent safety features of the underlying open-source models. The AI is designed to refuse requests for illegal, harmful, hateful, or sexually explicit content. No user data is sent to external servers.
New Science uses generative AI as a core part of its discovery system. When a player attempts a combination, an AI model may be used to determine whether the two selected objects can logically produce a new result. Generative AI is also used to create an illustration for newly discovered objects. Known discoveries are stored and reused, so the same established combination does not need to be generated again for every player. This system allows New Science to support open-ended experimentation beyond a small, completely predefined recipe list. Players may therefore encounter newly generated combinations and images that have not previously been seen by the development team.
Foundation Typer uses generative AI-assisted artwork, voice, and cinematic media elements for certain visual and promotional content, including portions of trailers, character presentation, and store assets. All gameplay systems, lesson structure, progression design, typing mechanics, interface functionality, and core training content were created and assembled as part of the game's original development.
Suno AI was used to generate the game's background music. And one of the friars is created with Meshy AI.
Generative AI tools were used only for a very small portion of the store's promotional assets and concept designs to assist the workflow. The vast majority of the game, including its core mechanics, code, and structural design, has been developed traditionally by our team. All AI-assisted elements have been heavily edited, verified for copyright compliance, and do not contain any illegal material.
LessPrep uses AI to generate educational text and images locally on your device. A language model (Qwen2.5 7B) creates lesson plans, worksheets, and goal documents. An image model (SDXL) generates classroom visual aids. All AI runs offline — no data is sent to external servers. Content moderation includes prompt filtering, safety negative prompts, and a post-generation image scanner to prevent inappropriate output.
This game utilises Google's Gemma4 E2B large language model to generate narration text based on human-curated datasets.
The life events for every historical figure highlighted in the game were generated by giving AI access to their Wikipedia profiles and asking it to summarize the text content. The art and the code are entirely human.
Knave Craps uses generative AI for some pre-rendered content. Specifically: - Visual art: Theme artwork used in the game's user interface and the Steam store hero/capsule images were created with the assistance of AI image-generation tools. All generated images were curated, edited, and integrated into the game by the developer. - Voiceovers: "Hot shooter" announcement audio (played during bonus side bets such as the Fire Bet) was created with an AI text-to-speech voice model. Scripts were written by the developer. The game does not use any live-generated AI content. All gameplay logic, dice rolls, payouts, and bet resolution are deterministic and authored.
Some of the assets used to design the page on Steam were generated
Packshot has been partially done with AI. Voices are generated with AI.
Some effect assets Some BGM tracks Coding assistance
A small number of textures and video files in the game were generated using AI.
Some art assets, promotional materials, or puzzle images in this game may have been created with the assistance of AI tools. All AI-assisted content is reviewed, edited, selected, and finalized by the developer before being used in the game. The game does not include live generative AI features. Players will not enter prompts or generate new AI text, images, audio, or other content during gameplay. AI is only used as an auxiliary art creation tool during development.
This game uses generative artificial intelligence tools during parts of the development process. AI-assisted tools were used by the solo creator, Hamood , to support portions of programming workflow and improve development efficiency as part of our independent game production pipeline. All implementation, design decisions, gameplay structure, and final integration were directed and reviewed by human developers. Some early-stage visual assets and concept materials were also created with AI-assisted tools during prototyping and pre-production. These assets were subsequently modified, optimized, and refined inside Unreal Engine and through additional work by human artists to ensure artistic consistency and product integrity. No live AI-generated content is produced during gameplay. All gameplay content presented to players is pre-authored and curated by the development team.
All voice dubbing (customer speech lines) was generated using AI text-to-speech technology. Core gameplay design, code, and overall creative direction are human-authored.
Some images and visual assets used on this store page and in onRails, were created or enhanced with the assistance of AI-generated imagery tools. These materials are used for promotional and illustrative purposes only and may not represent final in-application visuals.
This application uses generative artificial intelligence to interact with the user through text or sound.
Only the Steam capsule pictures were generated by AI.
Some visual assets and parts of the development workflow for Forest of Numbers were created with the assistance of generative artificial intelligence tools. All content was curated, reviewed, and refined by the developer before being included in the final game.
The promotional visuals and banners on the Steam store page were created with the support of generative AI tools. In contrast, the in-game assets were either manually created or later edited. However, certain marketing materials, such as headers, capsules, and banners, contain AI-generated components.
We've harnessed the power of Generative AI technology to create several of our game's unique theme background artworks, enhancing your gaming experience with visually stunning designs.
AI image generation tools were used to create some promotional artwork and store page images. The game does not connect to any AI services or generate AI content during play.
Some content may have been generated using automated tools or processes.
AI tools were used to assist with code optimization and debugging.
Game Demon uses large language models (Llama 3.1/3.3 via Groq API, plus optional local Ollama inference) to generate coaching text in real time from the user's match data. Vision models analyze user-sampled frames. No user content is sent to third parties without explicit opt-in. No generative images or audio in final output.
Some of Bitroca's visual assets, UI elements, and audio were created with the help of generative AI tools, then reviewed and finalized by a human developer before shipping. All content is pre-rendered and baked into the build no AI content is generated during gameplay.
Some text content prepared in advance, including descriptions and localized text, may be created, translated, or improved with the assistance of AI-based tools.
The character artwork and voice recordings used in this application were created using AI. This application also utilizes AI tools in the MIDI converter for recorded audio data provided by AI Transcriber.
Some of its content was created with AI tools and reviewed by the developer before inclusion: visual art, audio, and in-game text. No AI content is generated while you play.
