AI tools were used to generate store page capsule images, trailers, and Videos.
AI was used for coding assistance only. Artwork was produced by a paid human artist.
OUTWORKS was developed with the help of AI-based coding assistants, which we used to write parts of the game's source code. Everything you see and hear in the game is then generated procedurally by that code — all graphics are drawn in code (SVG/CSS) and all sound is synthesized in code (Web Audio). The game contains no AI-generated image or audio assets, and no generative AI runs while you play.
The game's Steam Library assets have some usage of image generative AI
AI Coding Tools Were Used In The Creation Of This Game, all art, models, animation, etc are handmade by artists.
Some marketing and store page artwork (capsule images, avatars and banners) were created with the assistance of generative AI tools. Some audio assets were also generated or assisted with AI tools. All AI-generated assets are reviewed and edited by the developer to ensure quality and consistency with the game's identity.
Some of the visual assets in Iron Ledger, including the game icon and splash/menu artwork, were created with the assistance of generative AI image tools. All AI-assisted assets were reviewed and curated by the developer. No AI-generated content is produced live during gameplay.

This game uses generative AI tools during development for selected visual, audio, and programming-related tasks. 【AI-assisted content and development】 • Visual assets: Some in-game visuals, including ship sprites, scenario artwork, terrain textures, UI illustrations, and other decorative assets, were created with generative AI image tools, then selected, edited, modified, and integrated by the developer. • Audio assets: Some background and combat music tracks were created with AI music generation tools, then edited, mastered, and loudness-normalized for in-game use. • Programming assistance: AI coding tools are used to assist with code generation, implementation, debugging, and development. Game systems, mechanics, simulation rules, balance, and overall technical design are directed and determined by the developer. 【Runtime and game content】 • No generative AI operates during gameplay or at runtime. All required assets and game logic are included with the game and run locally. • Scenario design, gameplay rules, ship statistics, historical information, and overall game design are researched, designed, reviewed, and integrated by the developer. Master of the Ages is a grand strategy game engineered by a solo developer with 15+ years of senior software engineering and programming competition experience. To achieve grand-strategy scale as a single creator, a generative AI workflow was utilized to co-design the code architecture and write the codebase under the developer's supervision, backed by a rigorous framework of over 2,500 automated tests to catch edge-case bugs and prevent regressions during development. Generative AI was also used to produce all player-facing graphics (including all unit, building, and technology assets) and generate the historical text layers.
Al were used to assist with translating text into multiple languages.
I used chatgpt to remaster some models, and to boost my artwork. I DID NOT: - let AI create any new models - design any of my levels or scripts - generate voices or music
Translations to most non-English languages are written by AI. This can be overridden in Settings to view in original English.
During the development process, procedural- and AI-based tools were used to assist with content creation. In all such cases, the final product reflects the creativity and expression of our own team. We do not knowingly use any AI-generated content that infringes on existing copyrighted works.
We used ai to assist us on music and art because we are poor and not capable of this yet. We will strive to remove or reduce ai to a minimum once we are financially capable.

WinBolo's core engine and gameplay code was originally written by John Morrison between 1998 and 2008. The 2.0 modernization — including build system updates, the networking rewrite and platform ports — was developed with assistance from AI coding tools, with all architectural decisions, code review, and final integration handled by John Morrison. Some non-gameplay marketing materials — including images and video elements used in trailers, social media, and the store page — were created using AI image generation as a starting point, with composition, editing, effects, and final selection done by hand. Gameplay screenshots and video footage are unedited captures from the actual game. The game itself contains no generative AI content at runtime. Player-facing in-game assets (graphics, sound, music, text, UI) are human-created. The in-game AI opponents ("Brains," including NewAutopilot and future ML-trained agents) use traditional game AI techniques and trained reinforcement-learning models — they don't generate text, images, or audio during play.
AI was used to generate fragments of promotional art for the game's page, as well as to generate the trailer's soundtrack.
