Beyond the Fracture contains both pre-generated and live-generated AI content. Pre-generated AI content: Some visual, audio, and voice assets were generated with AI tools during development and reviewed, edited, and curated by the developers before being included in the game. This includes selected construct opponent portraits, spoken name clips, character histories, and HERALD-7 commentary voice clips in German and English. Live-generated AI content: During first-time onboarding, the game uses external AI services to generate three candidate player identities live. Each identity includes a generated profile portrait and a generated spoken name introduction. The profile portraits are additionally guided by internal short character descriptions generated from predefined archetypes and prompt templates. This live generation is constrained by predefined prompts, fixed character archetypes, a controlled name system, and no free-form text input from players. The player selects one of the three generated identities. The chosen identity cannot be changed during the current Playtest, and repeated regeneration is not available during normal gameplay. No live AI generation occurs during normal matches after onboarding.

We live in an era where every developer uses generative AI. We see it as just another tool that helps with development, and we'll continue to use it more actively going forward.
During the development of Days Of Reckoning, generative artificial intelligence is used as a supportive tool in certain parts of production. AI has been used primarily for: creating visual references and concept ideas assisting with marketing materials (e.g., text, scripts) experimenting with certain audio or atmospheric elements All content included in the final version of the game is reviewed, refined, and approved by the developer. Generative AI is not used to generate content in real time during gameplay and does not directly influence gameplay mechanics or in-game systems.

ARB: Alien Races Battle is developed by a solo human author (Raphael Tremblay) with assistance from Anthropic's Claude AI as a coding, art, and writing collaborator throughout production. Specifically: - Some pixel-art unit sprites, ability icons, and UI elements were generated as SVG code with Claude's help, then reviewed, edited, and approved by the developer. - In-game ability descriptions, Field Manual codex entries, and supplementary lore text were written with Claude as a writing collaborator, all building on the existing canon of The Alien Races Book (a separate, fully human-authored book by the same author that predates this game by years). - Game code (gameplay engine, multiplayer infrastructure, UI logic) was developed with Claude as a coding-pair assistant. Every piece of AI-assisted content was reviewed and edited by the human developer before shipping. The game's core IP — the 60+ documented alien races, their homeworlds, and their first-contact records — comes from The Alien Races Book and is entirely human-authored. ARB does not use AI to generate content live during gameplay. All in-game content (units, sprites, abilities, sound, text, music) is finalized at build time and shipped as static assets.
Generative AI tools were used as part of the development workflow for programming assistance, debugging support, implementation planning, and visual refinement. AI-assisted visual workflows were used to explore, refine, or produce some visual elements. All such content was reviewed and integrated manually by the developer. Waywardens does not use live generative AI during gameplay. The game does not generate AI content at runtime and does not send player input to AI services.
Grid Lands uses generative AI during development in three areas: some in-game illustrations and icons are produced with AI image-generation tools, some player-facing text (in-game copy and store-page text) is drafted with AI writing assistance, and our developers use AI coding assistants while writing the game. All assets, text, and code are reviewed and refined by our team before release. The game itself does not use generative AI at runtime — no player data is sent to AI services during play, and no in-game content is generated live.
WinBolo's core engine and gameplay code was originally written by John Morrison between 1998 and 2008. The 2.0 modernization — including build system updates, the networking rewrite and platform ports — was developed with assistance from AI coding tools, with all architectural decisions, code review, and final integration handled by John Morrison. Some non-gameplay marketing materials — including images and video elements used in trailers, social media, and the store page — were created using AI image generation as a starting point, with composition, editing, effects, and final selection done by hand. Gameplay screenshots and video footage are unedited captures from the actual game. The game itself contains no generative AI content at runtime. Player-facing in-game assets (graphics, sound, music, text, UI) are human-created. The in-game AI opponents ("Brains," including NewAutopilot and future ML-trained agents) use traditional game AI techniques and trained reinforcement-learning models — they don't generate text, images, or audio during play.
AI was used to generate fragments of promotional art for the game's page, as well as to generate the trailer's soundtrack.
During the development process, some AI-based tools were used to assist with content creation.
"The game utilizes generative AI tools for the creation of concept art, UI icons, and English-to-Turkish localization. These assets are pre-generated during the development phase and are fully reviewed and polished by our team to ensure quality and originality."
Nexus Legacy is made by a solo developer using AI-assisted production tools. These tools were used during development to help with visual iteration, asset production, prototyping and code assistance, making a larger persistent MMO possible with a small production pipeline. The final game is not a live AI generator. Gameplay design, balance, economy, progression, PvE/PvP rules, server logic, world structure, final visuals and updates are selected, reviewed, edited and maintained by the developer. No live generative AI is used to create player-facing content while the game is running.
Generative AI tools are used to translate text into different languages and to create visual assets. All content is reviewed and manually edited before being included in the game.
Code was partially written with AI assistance.
Steel and Sinew uses AI art as placeholder for UI.
Generative AI is used to empower non-player characters to make decisions, making the world more alive.
As a solo indie developer working with a limited art budget, I have used generative AI tools for some visual assets, primarily UI artwork. The gameplay systems, mechanics, programming, balancing, and overall game design are created and implemented by me. My long-term goal is to continue improving the game’s artwork and, as the game grows, work with professional artists to replace and further refine AI-assisted visual assets.
Generative AI was used to assist in the creation of the game's codebase and logic. AI tools were also used to generate environmental art, background assets, and promotional marketing materials (including the Library Hero, Logo, and store page assets). All AI-generated content was reviewed and curated to ensure it meets quality standards and does not contain illegal or infringing material.
AI tools have been used to enhance and tweak game assets, as well as for certain audio elements.

Some background image assets in this game are generated using artificial intelligence and then further modified and refined by the development team. All other assets and content within the game are created without the use of AI-generated material.
Some of this game’s assets were developed with the assistance of AI.
"We utilize AI to assist in various design processes, including stylistic conceptualization, environment concept art, character definition, and color scheme planning."
AI tools were used during development to assist with asset creation (pixel art sprites, terrain textures, localization drafts) and game design iteration. All AI-generated content was reviewed, edited and curated by the developer.
All narrative, lore, and in-game text were written entirely by our team. Music and sound design are produced by our talented sound designer. Character concepts and initial illustrations/visual designs are human created. AI tools were used to assist in the modeling pipeline, with all output reviewed, adjusted, and approved by the team. We are actively working towards bringing on a 3D artist as the project grows (reach out to us if this might be you).
Voice acting for characters during combat and in the story
Generative AI Disclosure: This game utilized generative AI technologies during its development in the following ways: Visual Assets: Certain UI elements, character models, environmental decorations, and icons were created with the assistance of AI generation or post-processing. All AI-generated assets have undergone extensive manual modification, refinement, and strict quality control to ensure they align with the game's overall visual style. In fact, the development of visual assets accounted for more than half of the total development time of this game.
Voices are currently AI generated.
Some assets in this game were generated using AI.
Some image assets in this game are generated by AI.
Salvo uses generative AI in a limited, pre-rendered capacity: • Voice Acting: NPC dialogue throughout the campaign is voiced using ElevenLabs text-to-speech technology. All voice lines are generated, reviewed, and bundled with the game during development. No voice synthesis occurs at runtime. • Visual Assets: Select concept art, promotional materials, and supplementary illustrations (such as wiki imagery) were created with assistance from AI image generation tools and reviewed by the development team before inclusion. • Marketing Materials: The game's trailer voiceover and certain store page assets were produced with AI assistance. All AI-assisted content has been reviewed by the developer prior to release. The game does not generate, transmit, or produce any AI content during gameplay — all in-game audio, visuals, and text are pre-rendered and ship with the game.
During development of this game AI was used for code completion, art generation, text descriptions and a psychological/motivational/emotional support as well as release planning. Pretty much at every step of this game dev journey the AI was part of it.
All images and sounds used in the game were created with generative AI, and some help was received for the internal code logic.
AI was used as a coding assistant and for assistance with sprite animation. However none of the art was fully generated by AI. All art, be it music or drawn, was originally created by myself, the sole developer, or from open source creators.
This game was made with the help of generative AI. AI tools assisted in various parts of development, including code, art, and music.
