Public Steam disclosure research 25,380 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
Character voices, posters in the background
This game uses AI to generate text, game mechanics, images, and sound effects on the fly based on the player's world description. Some in-world interactions are also powered by an LLM in real time.
We've used AI to assist in creating our game's 2D art and sound effects.

RaceOnLife uses AI-driven NPC systems to create more dynamic interactions inside the game world. Some NPCs are designed to remember previous conversations, react to the player’s behavior, and respond differently depending on how the player communicates with them. These interactions may affect how NPCs guide, assist, ignore, challenge, or oppose the player during gameplay. Our goal is to make the island feel more alive, where conversations with non-player characters are not just static dialogue lines, but part of the player’s personal journey through the story and open world. AI features are used to support NPC behavior, dialogue variation, and player interaction systems. Core gameplay, world design, missions, vehicles, races, combat, progression, and major story content are created and directed by our development team. For live AI interactions, we are working with safety rules and moderation limits to reduce the risk of inappropriate, harmful, or illegal generated content.
The voices of the crew are generated using AI.
The skill display images are all generated using the text description of VIP Midjourney, based on the creative ideas of the author (myself). Not referencing any copyrighted images. Having specificity and uniqueness. There are no copyright related issues.
AI generated loading screens and pages for stories. Artworks images to presents character classes and marketing images.
Due to limited development costs, in this game, we use AI to generate the map background and 2D buildings on the large map when building the map. We will replace all hand drawn materials within the official version in one year.
A few images have been made with AI for marketing / store images as we plan to have our artist finalize the final images that we will then upload before Early Access is over.
The game does not contain any AI-generated content in real-time, but it does feature music produced using AI. The game's music was created through suno.ai, where I am a paying member. The website assures that paying members have the right to use the generated music for commercial purposes. In terms of images, the game uses a picture of a dog in a suit that is AI-generated. For the shop interface, all images related to appearances are also AI-generated. The AI images were created on https://www.artbreeder.com, and I am a paid member of that website.
AI tools were utilized during development to assist in creating various art and audio assets, including concept art, icons, textures, and temporary content. These tools helped speed up production and explore creative options, but all final assets were selected, refined, and implemented by the developer.
Our design team used generative AI to create preliminary concept images to effectively communicate ideas with our art team. However, all of the final game artwork was crafted by our human artists without the use of AI
The voice of the characters in this work comes from VOICEVOX
All answers are created by generative ai (large language model inference), the complete chat is filtered by a stopword blocklist. We cannot control the output 100%, so it may be inaccurate or offending as for all generative ai.
In order to speed up the production level and progress of a small portion of posters and photos within frames, I used AI tools to generate this small piece. I maintain a cautious attitude towards using AI. It can only assist me with a small part of my art work, and the vast majority still require human brain design. For a highly creative game, I think there should still be human brain to complete the vast majority. AI can only do some art assistance work.
Some 2D materials were created/enhanced using generative AI tools, specifically some store marketing assets and in-game icons.
Some of the background art in this game was initially generated using AI, then extensively modified and improved by our human artist to fit the style and vision of the game. The characters, inventory, interface, and other art assets were created directly by human artists without AI.
The resource icons and some background textures for UI are AI generated images.
I have used AI for generating some of the UI elements such as Buttons, Icons and Shapes in the Game. In addition, I have used AI for generating achievement icon.
Artificial intelligence has been used for: - creating story videos for the game - some single images for user interface (character portraits) - game logo
We believe AI can create new experiences for the player not possible before. In this game AI is used to generate text responses to make the NPC's in the game dynamically act and respond like humans. This differs from previously available technologies since all responses are tailored to this player input.
In Project ZETA, AI-generated content is actively utilized across various domains, including animation, sound, character design, and VFX. However, such content is employed solely to enhance development efficiency; all final art assets are meticulously reviewed and completed by designers to align with the project’s creative direction.
Sound effects & background music.
The game features generative artificial intelligence to voice the opening cut scene.
As per your review, capsule art is generated with AI. However, this was created by our designer as we own the .psd file.
This game uses a locally-run language model to power live, on-device conversations with an AI character — no data leaves your computer. All visual and audio assets are human-made or commercially licensed. A small number of assets used AI generation as an early drafting tool; each was subsequently revised and finalized by human artists to meet our visual and quality standards.
Some textures were created using AI.
The in-game content only utilizes AI technology for some pre-rendered elements. During the real-time operation of the game, AI technology is not utilized. Assets such as images and voiceovers are pre-rendered using AI in this game, while the rest are not.
I use AI-generated pre-rendered images for the Desktop Backgrounds in the game. This is to provide the player with a more unique, customizable experience over their in-game computer. I also use AI-generated pre-rendered images for character photos/portraits when needed. All images do not resemble or impersonate any person, living or dead.
AI support was provided for our game's poster and capsule designs.
It uses AI generated voices, for better gaming experiences
AI was used for the opening images and cutscene animation.
AI art was used to draw the professional character avatars, but the original AI content will be replaced later with the update.
A small set of images in the game has been made using AI. I am planning to replace these.
This game uses AI-assisted tools during development, including text translation and visual enhancement as part of the artwork creation process. All in-game content and artworks are reviewed, edited, and finalized by the developer. The game does not use AI to generate or modify content during gameplay.
We use AI to voice some characters that are similar to AI in order to emphasize their artificiality.
I used AI to generate some textures for backgrounds and images for the UI, which I then manually processed and refined.
Race announcer voice is AI generated and will be replaced by a voice actor during Early Access.
AI generated images are only used for the store page, art, and logos in the game.
To deepen the world building, I use pre-generated AI images in In-Game files section.
Only Graphical Images on the Steam store page & library. NOT Actually screenshots or footage of the game, Those ARE UNALTERED.
Pre-rendered media for game
I will use AI to create pre rendered images to enhance the game's image quality.
We are a small team, and as you know, AI can be very useful in speeding up the work. While being careful not to compromise our originality and creativity, we have made small tweaks in the game using AI.
The Void Reaper logo was crafted with the help of AI, ensuring a unique and captivating design that perfectly embodies the essence of the game. Additionally, the main font and key artwork that define the game's aesthetic were generated using AI. This approach allowed us to create visuals that are both striking and original, adding an extra layer of depth to the game's atmospher
We use AI to generate Voice Over.
We used AI in the concept art of the towers, also some AI content was used in one of the game's presentation video trailers.
Some graphical assets in game are made by pre-rendering AI
The cover photo of our game was created using artificial intelligence technology. Other than that, there is no other use of artificial intelligence in our game.
