Public Steam disclosure research 25,380 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
This game contains AI-generated art content.
Generative AI was used solely to assist in creating promotional materials and store page visuals. All in-game content is human-created and does not involve generative AI.
This game uses generative artificial intelligence tools in the creation of visual assets, including character art and background illustrations. All AI-generated content has been reviewed, curated, and integrated into the game by the developer to ensure consistency with the artistic direction and narrative tone.
The game is being developed by a small team. To speed up development, we used artificial intelligence for character design. We'll also be using AI for voiceovers and other features in the game.
After I personally finalized the design phase, some art assets were first rendered using generative AI tools, and I then manually refined and detailed them. Similarly, certain background music pieces were developed with the help of generative AI tools. Should you have any concerns about these methods, please feel free to experience the game according to your own preferences. Thank you for your understanding and consideration.
This title uses generative AI tools to assist in the creation of some written content and visual assets. All AI-assisted content is curated, edited, and finalized by the developer, and no AI-generated content is created dynamically during gameplay.
Designs needed for the store entrance
Some environmental posters visible in the game were initially created using generative AI tools and then manually edited and integrated by the developer. These assets are static decorative elements and do not affect gameplay or narrative systems.
AI helps with writing simple scripts, voice acting, and music composition
The use of "AI" in my games is purely sound based as that is more affordable, though it may be replaced out in time.
The game itself does not include AI content. But the pictures for the store page were made with help from AI.
We use AI in a very limited way to generate rough starting meshes for 3D models. Those initial models act only as a starting point - similar to a placeholder. From there, all the work is done by us: Models are manually refined, rebuilt, optimized and integrated by the development team. All environments, level design, lighting, materials, and world building are hand-crafted. All gameplay systems, programming, mechanics, and logic are human-written. All story, narrative design, pacing and world lore are human-created. All art direction, maps, layouts, and creative decisions are human-driven. The purpose of this is simple: to remove an entry barrier so this game can exist. We are a small, self-funded team of two developers learning Unreal Engine hands-on, building everything piece by piece. Using AI in this limited way allows us to start from a basic form instead of a blank screen - but the final result is the product of human effort, learning, iteration, and creative intent. We know this can be a sensitive topic, especially for artists and voice actors, and those concerns are completely valid. We truly appreciate everyone who chooses to be a part of this journey.
-Some basic textures and sprites were generated by AI during development. -AI technology was used as a supporting tool in the creation of some illustrations.
This game uses generative artificial intelligence for voice-over narration. AI-generated voices are used to deliver certain dialogue and narration elements. All writing, story, game design, and visual assets are created and curated by the development team.
Generative AI was used to create the store page capsule art, promotional screenshots, and some of the environmental textures within the game. All AI-generated content has been reviewed and edited to ensure it does not violate any copyrights or include illegal content.
Generative artificial intelligence is utilized in game development for the artistic creation of images rendering scenic spots and historical sites and horses.

Very limited use of AI for minor assets and music support
This game makes limited use of generative AI tools during development and marketing. Generative AI has been used for creating certain user interface icons, in‑game informational images, promotional materials, and cinematic videos. AI‑assisted tools have also been used for some video scenes and voice work related to the Nexus character. All gameplay systems, code, mechanics, level design, and narrative content are designed and implemented by the development team. Generative AI is not used in core gameplay systems or in content that directly affects player decisions.
This game utilizes pre-generated AI content in the following areas: Artwork: The game's cover art and certain promotional assets were created using AI generation tools. Audio: Character voice-overs and the in-game soundtrack (radio music) were generated using AI tools. All AI-generated assets have been manually reviewed, edited, and curated by the developer to ensure they fit the game's narrative and artistic quality.
Voice Acting: Character voiceovers were created using AI-based voice synthesis tools. Music: Background music was prepared and edited with the assistance of AI technology. Store Assets: Capsule artwork was created/assisted using AI tools. In-Game Environment: Character photographs displayed in in-game photo frames were generated/assisted using AI tools. Note: No other AI tools or AI-generated assets were used in any other part of the game or store page.
The game uses traditional in-game artificial intelligence for zombie behavior, such as movement, combat, and player detection. These systems are part of normal gameplay logic and were manually implemented and configured by the developer. No generative artificial intelligence tools were used to create game content such as art, audio, models, animations, or written text.
Only a portion of the visual materials used AI tools for assistance. Every piece has been meticulously hand-edited and adjusted to meet the specific stylistic needs of the story.
[AI Content Disclosure]This game utilizes generative AI tools to assist in the creation of visual assets (backgrounds, characters), background music, and parts of the narrative script. All AI-generated content has been manually reviewed, edited, and refined by the human developer to ensure it aligns with the game's "Japanese Gothic" aesthetic and story. We define this collaborative process between human creativity and AI as "Vibe Coding."
Gen AI is used for Music and generating character & stage profiles.
This game uses artificial intelligence systems during gameplay to dynamically adapt investigation scenarios, narrative flow, and event sequencing based on player actions. AI is used to increase replayability and narrative variation, not to generate player-created content or media assets.
We use many tools and techniques to realize our graphics, from AI generation to hand-painting.
Some text content prepared in advance, including descriptions and localized text, may be created, translated, or improved with the assistance of AI-based tools.
As a two-person independent team with no dedicated art department or budget, we have utilized generative AI to create all visual assets within the game. This includes: Environment & Backgrounds: All village landscapes, interiors, and atmospheric backdrops depicting 1920s Anatolia. Character Portraits: All visual representations of the villagers and historical figures. UI & Icons: The majority of the user interface elements, icons, and parchment-style menus. Concept Art: All marketing materials and store page assets. We have carefully curated, edited, and integrated these AI-generated visuals to ensure they align with our specific historical narrative and charcoal-style aesthetic. Our use of this technology was the only way to bring our vision of this National Struggle story to life with the limited resources of a two-man studio.
Generative AI was used to modify a couple of textures.
Please note: DreamForge uses generative AI to create characters, environments, and storylines for all player-created games. The development of The Utopian Project makes limited use of AI-assisted tools during early production, primarily for concept exploration and background asset iteration. All final content is curated, reviewed, and integrated by the development team.
In The Final Shuffle, we incorporated AI-generated content for specific elements, including capsule images, library assets, and the game icon.
Dialogos de los personajes fueron generados previamente y algun logo o textura ocasional (el logo si fue hecho por IA y que yo recuerdo solamente dialogos y una pieza de la banda sonora usada en el juego).
AI was used to create the voice for the ship's AI.
AI is used as an assistant for coding, writing, and translation. All AI‑generated materials are manually reviewed, and most are manually edited before inclusion in the game.
All audio and music assets used in the game are either original, licensed, or created specifically for the project. Any AI-assisted content has been significantly edited, processed, and combined with original elements to ensure uniqueness and originality. No AI-generated assets are used directly without human modification. All content is reviewed to ensure it does not infringe on copyrighted material.
This game uses generative AI to create dynamic in-game dialogue (e.g., radio/operator lines) during gameplay. The player does not provide free-form text input; prompts are system-controlled. Outputs are filtered to avoid disallowed content (hate, sexual content, extreme violence, personal data). AI-generated dialogue is thematic and does not imitate real people.
In this game, we have utilized an AIGC-assisted approach to generate game assets such as map tiles, pixel animation spritesheets, and cutscene CGs.
Promotional artwork for the Steam store page was created with the help of generative AI tools during the development process. The game does not utilize any generative AI during gameplay, runtime systems, or player-facing content.
Musical support. Dialogues.
使用AI生成的游戏内容,包括所有图像和声音。 All images and sounds in the game are generated by AI.
AI-based voice conversion is used for a single cameo character to respectfully recreate and restore the voice of a deceased person from archival recordings, while all dialogue is written manually.
We used generative AI tools during development for some marketing images, certain UI elements, store page text drafting, and code suggestions. All outputs were reviewed and edited by the developer. The game does not use AI to generate content during gameplay.
Generative AI tools were utilized during the development of The Bliss to assist with initial script brainstorming, technical troubleshooting, and the creation of minor 2D artwork elements. All AI-assisted content was heavily modified, edited, and curated by the development team to align with the game's strict artistic vision. (Note: Any 3D AI-generated assets were used strictly as temporary placeholders during prototyping and have been completely replaced by human-crafted models in the final release).
We have utilized AI-assisted design for the store materials and some 2D background images within the game. However, these are not purely AI-generated; they are based on our original photographs that were enhanced using AI technology, and subsequently refined manually to ensure quality.
We utilize AI tools to assist in our development process. Any content generated with AI is then carefully refined and polished by our design team to ensure it aligns perfectly with the game's unique art style and overall vision.
AI assisted tools were used during development to help create some assets, all of which were reviewed and finalized by the developer. The game does not generate AI content during gameplay, and players cannot input prompts or create AI-generated material.
This game uses AI-generated content during development, including some pre-rendered voice acting and textures. AI was also used to assist in the creation of certain promotional artwork.
