Where do games disclose AI use?
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across
games, and follow recorded changes.
This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to
statements published on individual store pages.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam.
Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
For languages other than Japanese (English, Simplified Chinese, Russian, Spanish, Portuguese, German, French, Korean), translations were made using ChatGPT localization. Therefore, some expressions may appear unnatural.
During the development process, we may use procedural and AI-driven tools to support content creation. In all cases, the final product reflects the creativity and vision of our development team.
Some visual assets, such as concept art and UI elements, were partially created with the help of generative AI tools during development. All final content has been reviewed and edited by human developers to ensure quality and appropriateness. No AI-generated content is used during gameplay.
We used AI to fix grammar mistakes in our store page description and to generate achievement icons. No AI-generated assets were used for major game content, character models, environments, animations, or gameplay elements.
Store Page
Some store visuals were assisted by AI and are not present in the actual game.
In Game
In our cinematic and some of our anomalies, we used AI-generated voice production.
Apart from the voices we produced, only our paintings contain AI-generated textures.
The copyrights of the products we created belong to us.
Our game utilizes AI-generated models for various environmental game objects, to provide unique and dynamic experiences. AI tools were used in the sculpting of 3D models that contribute to the overall aesthetic and gameplay experience.
AI generated 3D models strictly limited to environmental assets.
Some visual elements within the game—such as posters, environmental billboards, and select background artwork—are AI-assisted and have been further customized by the developer. These assets are used in a stylistic and non-essential capacity to enhance the game’s atmosphere.
Core content—including all character models, vehicles, props, and primary game assets—has been created without the use of AI generation.
Select marketing materials may also incorporate AI-assisted imagery for illustrative purposes.
AI is used in certain aspects of AquaBall League's development, but always as a tool to assist and enhance human creativity, not replace it.
How We Use AI in Development & Marketing:
Pre-Rendered Assets: AI-assisted tools help generate concept art, environmental textures, and animation references to speed up workflows. However, final assets are created and refined by human artists.
Marketing & Store Page Content: AI is sometimes used for copywriting assistance (e.g., generating draft descriptions) and image upscaling, but all materials are reviewed and finalized by the development team.
Community Engagement: AI-powered tools may assist in moderating discussions or generating interactive content like chatbots for FAQs.
What We Do Not Use AI For:
We do not use AI-generated assets as final in-game models, animations, or sound.
We do not use AI to replace human-written narratives, character design, or core gameplay elements.
AI is just one of many tools we use to streamline production, but our focus remains on human creativity, originality, and player-driven innovation.
Hullrot uses AI to assist with background systems such as planning, summarizing game content, and managing progression flow. AI is not used to generate live player-facing content (such as dialogue, art, or assets) during gameplay. Instead, it supports behind-the-scenes balancing and pacing to ensure smoother progression and variety in encounters.
We are using AI for the localization of Galactic Space Guard. It is also used for translating texts in the community section. So it is merely used for translation, the texts are still handwritten and translated in languages we are not capable of speaking. This is the only application of AI in Galactic Space Guard.
AI tools were used to assist with localization. All translated texts were fully reviewed and edited by humans. No AI was used to create artwork, music, sound effects, or game design.
AI was used only during development for minor script corrections, menu background music generation, and logo creation. The game does not generate AI content during gameplay, and no AI-generated assets impact the player's experience.
I am currently using AI to remove backgrounds and for any art placeholders. Nothing In game is AI generated and everything done by AI is done as a tool, not for final art or content.
I use AI-Generated pictures for the game art, as well as the store page. I am unfortunately not a graphical artist.
Also, the fake images of the women you can spend time with are AI-Generated, and don't resemble real people.
There are AI-Generated paintings in the game that are of a comedic/bromance nature, that I created.
