Galithia uses generative AI during development for some concepting, visual iteration, and content support. Any AI-assisted assets or materials are reviewed, modified, and integrated by the developer, with final approval and creative direction remaining fully human-led. Gameplay systems, combat balance, encounter design, and final implementation are developer-controlled.
Portions of this game's code were written with the assistance of an AI coding tool, working under the developer's direction, with all output reviewed, tested, and integrated by hand. All artwork, animation, music, and sound effects are human-created licensed assets — no AI-generated art or audio is used. The game does not generate any content with AI at runtime; computer opponents use traditional hand-written game logic.
This game was developed with the help of generative AI tools in the following areas:
Some art assets, including characters, backgrounds, UI, and effects
Store page capsule images and key art
English localization of in-game text
Portions of the source code
All generated output was reviewed, edited, and integrated by the developer, and the final content is the developer's responsibility. No content is generated by AI while the game is running.
We use AI as a technical tool to support our human developers. While all of our 3D game models, environments, and core game art are hand-crafted by our artists, we use AI to assist with 2D rendering and localization. For 2D promotional art, AI is used to composite, light, and polish images based strictly on our original in-game assets. We also utilize AI-assisted translation pipelines to help localize our massive world into multiple languages for our global community.
This game uses AI generation tools at several stages of development.
- Artwork: the card illustrations and key art use images produced with AI image-generation tools.
The developer selected, cropped, and adjusted the outputs — and discarded the ones that did not
fit — before integrating them into the game.
- Text: card flavor text and story prose were drafted with AI assistance, then edited and finalized
by the developer. The world setting and narrative structure were decided by the developer.
- Localization: the English text was translated with AI assistance and reviewed by the developer.
No content is generated by AI while the game is running. Everything is pre-generated during development.
Generative AI tools were used to assist in creating select 2D artwork for this game illustrations for collectible cards, artwork for the card battle/arena scene, and the game's logo and store capsule art. All AI-assisted artwork was selected, edited, and finalized by the development team before inclusion. Generative AI was not used to create the 3D open-world environment, or other gameplay systems/mechanics. This is for the demo build, and some or all AI-assisted art may be replaced with original human-made artwork in the full release.
This game uses generative AI for some of its assets, specifically: character art and scene backgrounds, UI icons, the main menu motion visual, and part of the soundtrack. All story text is written by the developer; AI was used only for formatting and validation. Every AI-generated asset was manually reviewed, edited, and integrated before shipping.
"Generative AI tools were used during development to assist in creating a portion of the art, background assets, and UI icons. All AI-generated content was reviewed and manually refined by our team."
The game's core visual presentation is built around human-created playable character sprite sheets and map artwork, while the level layouts and game design are created by the developer. Generative AI was used for selected pre-generated audio, localization, and supporting visual content such as the logo and key art. No generative AI content is generated during gameplay.
Artwork, music and parts of the text were created with AI tools and individually curated, refined and hand-fitted into the game by the developer. No AI content is generated at runtime.
AI tools were used during development to assist with the creation of certain 2D visual assets. Specifically, AI was used to generate some images used on the Steam store page and to assist in creating character portrait artwork used in the game. These AI-generated assets were reviewed and incorporated into the final game by the development team.
All character sprites, enemy/boss artwork, backgrounds, effect images, UI icons and illustrations in this game were pre-generated using OpenAI's ChatGPT image generation, then curated and edited by the developer (background keying, trimming, animation assembly). All background music tracks were pre-generated using Google's Gemini music generation and curated by the developer. Sound effects are procedurally synthesized by the game's own code. Store page artwork (capsules, logo) was also pre-generated using ChatGPT. The game does not generate any AI content at runtime (no live-generated content).
The Rumble Pit is made by one person, and generative AI tools were part of how it was built.
Music: the tracks you hear in the menus and in the twelve dungeons were generated with a local AI music model, from a written brief for each place, then cut, looped and mixed by hand.
2D art: the interface icons, the class and specialisation emblems, the dungeon thumbnails, the illustrated boss backdrops and the logo were produced with image generation tools, then cropped, cleaned up and colour-matched by hand.
Text and code: much of the in-game text — talent names and descriptions, loot labels, boss briefings, the translation tables — and part of the source code were drafted with an AI assistant, then edited, tested and rewritten by hand.
Not AI-generated: the 3D models and animations (licensed art packs), and the sound effects (CC0 libraries).
Nothing is generated while you play. The game connects to no AI service and produces no new content at runtime — everything ships as a fixed file, checked before release.
Generative AI was used during development to assist in the creation of certain pre-generated visual assets, including some UI artwork, icons, textures, and other 2D art. All AI-assisted content was reviewed and integrated by the developer before being included in the game. The game does not use live-generated AI during gameplay.
Generative artificial intelligence was used during development mainly to assist with localization and code, with some 2D/3D assets, and selected audio assets. All AI-assisted content was manually reviewed, edited, and refined by the developer before use.
Some art assets were initially created with the assistance of generative AI tools, then manually edited and finalized by the developer. AI tools were also used to assist with multilingual localization.
Some visual assets used in the game and its promotional materials were created with the assistance of generative AI. The game does not generate AI content at runtime.
Soulforge uses generative AI for part of its asset production. All AI-assisted content is pre-generated, fixed in the shipped build, and reviewed by the developer before release — the game generates no content at runtime.
• 2D art: UI frames and chrome, spell and passive ability icons, class portraits, key art and store capsule art were produced using AI image generation from written style briefs, then selected, corrected, cropped, rescaled, composited and colour-graded by the developer before being imported into the game.
• 3D models and textures: a portion of environment and prop assets were produced with AI generation tools, then edited, retopologised and hand-adjusted before being used in the game.
• Localization: the game's 20 interface languages were produced with AI translation, each language then passed through a separate independent AI review pass and a mechanical validator. Native-speaker review is ongoing and corrections ship as they arrive.
Audio is procedurally synthesised with hand-written DSP code, not generated by an AI model.
We have reviewed the shipped assets and believe they contain no illegal or infringing content.
Some of the visual assets in Champions of Thaloria were created with the help
of generative AI tools during development. This includes parts of the store
page artwork and trailer, along with a portion of the in-game 2D art such as
item icons, avatar frames and class emblems.
Every AI-assisted asset was selected, edited and assembled by hand before it
went into the game, and all of it was reviewed by the developer.
The game does not generate anything while you play. No content is created at
runtime and no AI service is contacted during gameplay — everything ships
with the game.
Some card artwork, character illustrations, and marketing text were created with the assistance of generative AI tools, then reviewed, edited, and curated by the developer. All game design and code direction is human-led. No AI content is generated live during gameplay.
Generative AI was used during development to assist in creating and refining some visual assets and development materials. All AI-assisted content included in the game and its marketing is reviewed, selected, and edited by the developer before publication. No AI-generated content is created during gameplay.
Generative AI was used to assist in creating some visual assets, dialogue, and localization for the game. AI-generated visual assets were manually pixel-edited, recolored, and refined by the developer to match the game's art style. AI-assisted dialogue and localization were reviewed and edited by the developer before being included in the game. No generative AI content is created dynamically during gameplay.
Generative AI tools were used during development to assist in creating visual promotional artwork, UI graphics, and character concept designs. All AI-generated assets were reviewed, modified, and curated by the developer to ensure quality and consistency with the game's art style. No real-time AI content generation is used during gameplay.
Some 2D user interface images in PACTUM (such as icons and UI elements) were created with the assistance of generative AI tools. All AI-generated images were reviewed and curated by the developer.
Some game assets were created with AI assistance under paid commercial licenses: background art and the title logo (image generation), BGM (Suno), and sound effects (ElevenLabs). All AI-generated assets are recorded in an internal license ledger, were generated on paid plans permitting commercial use, and were reviewed by the developer before inclusion.
The core mechanic uses AI at runtime: the player draws a creature and enters a name for it, and both the drawing and the player-supplied name are sent to a vision AI model, which evaluates them and produces the creature's element, size, stats, move names and descriptions, catchphrase, and flavor text. The creature always carries the name the player typed: the model returns a suggested name, but the server discards it whenever the player supplied one, and falls back to the model's name only when the player leaves the field blank. Guardrails: (1) every submission passes a server-side moderation gate before any sharing — CSAM is absolutely blocked with evidence preservation and reporting, and clearly NSFW content is auto-rejected; (2) all player-visible text generated by AI is length-clamped and moderated (names, catchphrases, flavor text, move names); (3) shared content (ghost teams) is moderated again server-side, is opt-in, expires automatically (TTL), and there is no public gallery; (4) a player report channel (notice-and-takedown) is provided in-game and on the official site; (5) battle results are computed deterministically by game rules, not by AI.

Hi! I’m a solo indie developer working on this game during my free time outside of daily life.
To bring this project to life with limited time and resources, I used AI tools to assist parts of the development process, such as brainstorming, early prototypes, draft writing, and iteration support.
However, the core game design, gameplay systems, story structure, balancing, and final implementation were all personally planned, edited, and integrated by me.
AI is a tool that helps me turn ideas into something playable—it does not replace the creative decisions behind this game.
I know people may have different opinions about AI, so I want to be transparent about it.
Thank you for playing and supporting my work.
I hope you enjoy exploring this broken, virus-corrupted world.
