Where do games disclose AI use?
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across
games, and follow recorded changes.
This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to
statements published on individual store pages.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam.
Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
This game uses generative AI to assist in the creation of pre-rendered content such as artwork, textures, music, sound effects, and voices. All AI-generated assets are curated, edited, and finalized by the developer to ensure originality and compliance with copyright rules. No live AI generation is available during gameplay. All content included in the final product is fixed and does not allow users to generate new material themselves.
AI has been used to generate the images for a few of the cards as they currently exist in Nightmares. Most of the card images are created by actual artists and we're working to have the remaining generated images replaced prior to launch.
I used Elevenlabs AI Voice Robots to do all the voicework in the game.
A few store page images have been created with ComfyUI.
Achievements images have been created with with ComfyUI.
AI currently assists me with tasks I can’t handle alone without 'overspending.'
It’s versatile—useful for generating images (though I edit them later), writing code, and more.
Since I’m a beginner, I rely on it for almost everything, even just to verify parts of my games.
Game uses AI only for visual and text content. Card illustrations and free avatars were created with the help of AI tools. Some in-game texts were edited using AI.
Ridiculous Games employs artists, designers and programmers to make our games. We used generative AI to help create this game. It's part of what lets a small team build a game like this. We believe in being transparent about the tools we use, but they're only tools. Every part of this game is reviewed, refined, and curated by our team to meet our creative vision and quality standards, and we hope you'll enjoy the game for the experience it delivers.
We use AI for both development and creative support. Assets generated by both AI and humans are collaboratively refined by AI and humans before being used in the game.
AI is currently used to illustrate part of the Action Cards due to budget limitations, awaiting the end of the related Kickstarter Campaign. Should the campaign ends positively, AI illustrations will be removed before the launch of the final product.
User might use AI as necessary outside the the game. Any use of AI by players is done outside the executable itself. User generated content will NOT YET have a way to be imported to the game. The game is isolated and closed from interactions with AI beyond its simple assets.
Certain visual assets in this game were commissioned and purchased by the developer, either as part of custom work or from third-party asset packs created by external artists. The artists independently chose to incorporate generative AI tools into their own asset creation process to explore variations and speed up iterations, alongside traditional digital art techniques, manual editing, compositing, and post-processing in Photoshop.
Freelancers hired to translate and localize the Steam page and game texts reported using generative AI tools to assist with their work. They independently chose to incorporate generative AI tools to streamline their own workflow and manage multiple clients simultaneously.
The developer never requested, directed, or encouraged the use of generative AI and does not promote its use as part of their own development practices. The developer’s own work does not rely on generative AI and its use was entirely external to the game’s development process. The developer did not use generative AI in the creation of the game’s code, gameplay mechanics, narrative, or core design.
The use of generative AI is strictly limited to the commissioned or purchased third-party work performed independently by external contributors as described above, and was entirely independent of the developer’s decisions.
In order not to compromise on gameplay mechanics and available content, and provide the richest habitual experience, most animals and card images were generated artificially while focusing on their aesthetics and quality.
Short NPC dialogue uses Text-To-Speech audio
Original card art created by a professional artist. With their permission, a few variants were made using AI tools
Some elements of the game were created with the help of AI-assisted tools and were then further developed through manual work — modified, improved, and integrated to align with the game’s overall style and vision.
We are an independent game studio. In this title, every keyframe composition, concept art, and storyboard originates from the original designs of our human artists. Our vision is for players to also take part in the creation of in-game content. To bring the "Player-Customized Spell Visuals" feature to life in future updates, we have experimentally introduced AI as an auxiliary tool during the rendering stage of combat visual effects. Rest assured, we invest an average of over 120 hours of hand-drawn work and refinement for every minute of combat footage, ensuring the most striking visual impact. All art assets in the game are fully copyrighted, comply with applicable laws and regulations, and represent the dedication of our team. Thank you for supporting independent developers!
Some concept art and early drafts were created with the help of AI tools. All final artwork in the game has been reviewed, refined, and completed by our art team.
Some visual materials, such as store promotional images, are generated or enhanced using AI tools and further refined and integrated by the developers.
After I personally finalized the design phase, some art assets were first rendered using generative AI tools, and I then manually refined and detailed them.
Similarly, certain background music pieces were developed with the help of generative AI tools.
Should you have any concerns about these methods, please feel free to experience the game according to your own preferences. Thank you for your understanding and consideration.
As a solo developer, I used artificial intelligence tools to generate the card artwork and the game's music. All other aspects, including the game design, programming, and mechanics, are entirely human-created.
