Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.

Some assets were created using generative AI
I use AI for the character portrait graphics and for artwork images. As a solo developer, AI presents numerous opportunities to develop my project in a cost-effective, swift, and efficient manner. Some components of this game feature a mix of human and AI-generated content; nothing is solely produced by AI. It's important to me to use as little AI as possible, ensuring that 95 percent of my content is generated without AI.
In "Don't Click in The Dark," we utilize AI-generated graphics as a foundation for our creative process. The AI helps generate base images, which we then use as inspiration to create detailed pixel art. These AI-generated visuals serve as a starting point, allowing our artists to craft unique, atmospheric environments and characters. Additionally, we animate these pixel art assets.
Some tools making use of AI were used in some phases of the production of some of the visual assets, e.g. generative resize when upscaling some images.
The game uses AI-generated images. Some character's voices are AI-generated. Some texts are assisted by artificial intelligence.
I used a paid subscription of midjourney for the images of the backgrounds and the characters. Nothing is generated in real time. And the code was made all by hand. I also used some pictures for the game page.
AI was used to create a title screen for our game along with some marketing.
AI-generated art objects
Ai generated music
The following features were created with the help of AI: - Text Snippets: Some text snippets were created with the help of AI - Troubleshooting: AI was also used to help with troubleshooting efforts Disclaimer: I'm a solo developer, this is my first project. I have no external funding, but have spent money out of my own pocket to acquire assets created by very talented people. Additionally, free assets were used that are either in the public domain (CC0), or require attribution (credits provided in game files). AI was used in the creation process of this game that helped me overcome issues and problems that I encountered, as well as providing certain text summaries and general ideas for text displays.
Some base image assets were generated using AI and used in the graphic design of the custom graphics you see in-game. Anything AI generated was heavily edited, animated, and customized for our games needs.
"The card image includes an AI-generated illustration."
We do not use live-generated AI in our game. All AI-related work has been curated, and we take great care to correct and finalize all AI-related work to avoid copyright infringement and meet our quality standards. AI is used as part of our art creation workflow. For example, we may create parts of an artwork (texture, illustration...), bring them into a graphics editor, combine, tweak and overpaint them there, then use different AI tools and configurations to inpaint and re-create parts of the artwork or create variations, then bring the results back into a graphics editor and combine and tweak them again. This is repeated until the artwork is complete, at which point we extract and repaint parts of the artwork to create separate layers that can be used for animation or simply allow us to be more flexible with the artwork. AI is also used to extend artwork for different aspect ratios, to select parts of an image, or to upscale artwork. As a small game studio we use AI to help our artists and creatives to improve our output and stay competitive. We understand that AI is a topic of concern for many. Our idea is to use these tools responsibly to support and not substitute. Thank you for supporting our small studio. Your trust and understanding means the world to us as we strive to bring you the best gaming experience possible.
This game includes pre-rendered AI images that have been used as references and modified by the developer and artists that work with AI. There is NO live generated AI content included.
Some posters and advertisements in the video game world have been generated by AI.
Textures, Pictures, dubbing.
Due to limited funds, I employed AI to generate almost all of the 2D scene art assets and used AI for all language localization translations.
Some subtitles were translated by A.I but are not listed as supported on steam. Those subtitles are marked as "A.I generated".
Game textures
No AI is used in the game. Only used in illustrations outside of the game.
Due to limited development costs, in this game, we use AI to generate the map background and 2D buildings on the large map when building the map. We will replace all hand drawn materials within the official version in one year.
The design of each character and location is thought out and created manually by me alone, but I also use neural networks in pre-production to help render fine details faster. No Live-Generated AI content is used.
AI is used to suggest best practices in code in order to make the game as performant as possible.
We use generative AI artwork for the cover images / thumbnails. Nothing inside the game is AI generated. Only the advertising material is.
As a self funded, mostly solo indie dev Ai Art has been used during development for prototyping and concept art as well as promotional/marketing materials. All art in game before and during early access should be considered a WIP and not final. It is my goal that sales during EA can fund hiring artists to update/replace this content.
Due to the fact that card games require a large amount of illustrations and illustrations, and I do not have the ability or financial resources to implement them, many AI generated images are used in the game. If you mind, please do not make a purchase. But if you are willing to trust me, then I can assure you that all AI generated images in the game have been manually reviewed and processed, and will not produce obvious strange or abrupt feelings. As for the source of AI models and copyright issues of training data, I only purchased relevant material packages from Epic Mall and did not participate in generation and training.
Some images in the game and promotional materials are made/modified using AI.
We used AI-generated images as a basis for some of the images on the store page and made manual modifications
Used to generate store and library images. And a few images for menu in game.
Some of our artwork is placeholder AI. We have decided to use AI art to allow us to quickly test cards and features that are rapidly changing. We consider AI art as a development tool and not as a substitute for talented artists. We respect the concerns the community has about the use of AI artwork and plan to remove all AI art from the game as cards and features become locked. This means AI art will be removed iteratively during Early Access, with Village Studio committed to it being completely removed by full launch.
We use AI to generate Voice Over.
Part of the screen is assisted by AI
AI-generated content: - background image of the first screen
- AI voice generation tools were used to create pre-generated character voice lines for in-game dialogue. - AI translation tools were used during development to create draft localization text for languages other than Arabic and English. These draft translations are included in the demo as AI-assisted draft localizations for UI, font, and text-length testing, and to help evaluate requirements for possible future professional human localization.
Unyha uses AI to generate stories about the players' characters, their heirlooms, and the world.
Some of the beauty shots of our heroes have been enhanced using AI. Also, some of the UI and cutscene elements have been created using AI.
Some graphical assets in game are made by pre-rendering AI
As a solo indie developer, I utilize generative AI tools to assist in creating this game. For visual assets, AI is used strictly for drafting initial concepts and sketches. I personally review, retouch, and hand-polish every asset to ensure they meet the game's artistic vision and quality standards. Thank you for your understanding and support.
AI content is used to generate some promotional material such as some art work/concepts, and art for our logo.
Generative AI was used as a step in the development of some texture and model assets.
Some capsule images were made with AI
concept art for pictures, posters
AI-assisted tools were used for background adjustments in the store page images.
Some backgrounds and store assets have been generated combining artwork and pictures created by the AI
Note on voice output: This game uses AI-generated voices for voice output. The dialogues and texts were written by the developers and then set to music using modern text-to-speech systems. The aim is to provide consistent audio quality and make the content accessible to players with different language preferences. Please note that these are not professional voice recordings, but synthetically generated voices.
Language translations, except for Russian, were done using neural networks. The playing cards in "Koschuny" were created with the help of a neural network. The game cover on Steam was partially created by a neural network and touched up by an artist.
We use a picture ai like Midjourney to generate pictures. We use those picture to combine them with each other in after effects or davinci and then we animate them and put them into our Cards
The game contains portraits and images generated by AI.
AI generated images for ability screen and main menu and some item icons like fish, bear coat, potions etc.
