Where do games disclose AI use?
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across
games, and follow recorded changes.
This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to
statements published on individual store pages.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam.
Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
We are only 2 person excited to make the game we desire as soon as possible. Without AI for voice overs it becomes really hard for us to continue on our path. That is why this game utilizes AI-generated voice acting created with Replica Studios.
- The rest of the game (game design, code, visual assets, story, text, etc.) was not created using generative AI.
- The AI does not participate in real-time gameplay and does not generate content for the user.
All visual art and assets in Nightmare Frontier were created entirely by human hands; no art assets in the game have been generated or assisted by AI.
Our use of AI is strictly limited to translation and localization. Specifically, AI-powered translation tools were used to help adapt and refine the game's text across different languages.
Our game uses advanced AI technology to enhance your gameplay experience. Interact with lifelike AI characters that respond to your actions in real-time, engage in dynamic, generative conversations, and explore evolving storylines driven by AI-powered NPCs. This AI integration ensures every playthrough is unique, creating a living, breathing world that adapts to your decisions and strategies. Dive into an immersive, intelligent world where your choices truly matter!
Our Policy for AI Use
Even if, and disclose from time to time that, we use AI in some of our products, it never means that our product consists of AI-generated content, which is simply impossible but may be presumed by some people. We continue our due diligence and necessary efforts to come up with the best content.
AI is a field that we keep track of and welcome curiously and excitedly. It is something not the world gives us but what we get from the world according to our requirements.
However,
We always consider the rights of commercial and ethical use of AI. Therefore, we subscribe to their content, pay their respective fee, and keep their receipts/licenses.
How may we use AI?
We may use outsourced AI in a number of different ways in addition to our own in-game AI mechanics, as it gives us uniqueness and originality as we like, and as long as its content is compliant with our above policy:
Sound files: We have a large collection of audio clips we have purchased and keep purchasing. We also have the means to make our own sound files. Sometimes we may also use AI-made sounds to make audio clips as well if we fail to find what we are looking for in our archive.
Graphics: We may use AI for some of our graphical assets. We have various means like software with which we can create characters, particularly our animated characters in the trailers and cutscenes, which are our own unique designs.
Ideas: We may chat with AI about whether an idea is suitable for the current genre we are working on. However, we plan to discontinue this use of AI as it lacks originality. For example, when we asked for the names of two female characters for a fantasy game, AI suggested “Anya and Ayleen.” They are obviously names used before and we needed to change the names of our two characters.
The above use of our AI may naturally appear on our store page as we include fragments from our game to introduce and promote it.
This policy may be subject to change depending on the developments, ethical considerations, and circumstances regarding the use of AI in the future.
Ai was used to create the backgrounds of the steam advertisement pictures with the "Shoot Until You Rest" title on it. To clarify: The screenshots did NOT get modified by ai.
A few assets are based on an ai generated image that was further modified with picture-editing-tools(for example the puddle of the slow grenade).
The character illustrations, and other UI materials displayed in the game are generated in advance by AI and are used in the game after being manually edited.
This game's development leveraged Gen-AI to sample in-game sprites for the player and enemy ships. These same sprites have been sent over to paid artists to create their own renditions of these sprites. All other assets such as music, sound effects, and steam page capsules were created by paid artists.
As a team of 2 we have utilized AI in our early development stages, including some concepts, logo design, coding, 3D models and music.
Most of these assets are considered placeholder content, helping us get the fastest ideas in while we work on other subjects. Most AI generated content have/will be replaced or reworked into more refined pieces for the final product.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) was used in the creation of texts and symbols. "Wild West Blast" combines cutting-edge technology with classic gameplay mechanics for a unique gaming experience.
The game uses generative AI to create some 2D pictures, such as some ICONs; in addition, it also uses AI on the text to modify information such as prop descriptions.
Some UI icons were created based on detailed descriptions provided to the AI tool, while others were created by rendering 3D models and then fine-tuned using AI-assisted retouching. All final versions were selected and approved by developers.
We provide an AI assisted tool for players to create their own cosmetics for our game. It exclusively is used as a UGC tool, so players do not need to achieve high technical skills to be able to create new content for DFUSE.
We utilize generative AI tools during the development process to enhance the overall quality and depth of the game's world. Specifically:
Character Models: The mesh for the game’s final boss was created using AI-assisted generation tools, then manually refined to ensure high-quality technical standards.
Localization: AI tools are used to assist in translating game text into multiple languages, which are then manually reviewed and polished for accuracy.
Marketing Materials: Some promotional assets and store page visuals may include elements enhanced by AI to better represent the game's tactical vision.
Angel Guardian was developed with the help of AI tools across our creative pipeline — including story development, dialogue, enemy balancing, difficulty tuning, concept art exploration, animation prototyping, music iteration, and voice experimentation.
AI acted as a creative accelerator, allowing us to rapidly test ideas, refine systems, and expand the scope of our world. All content was directed, curated, and finalized by our human development team.
Human creation and the use of AI :
➧ 100% of the game's sounds were purchased and designed by humans.
➧ 100% of the animations VFX were purchased and designed by humans.
➧ 100% of the interface was designed, customized, and integrated by me over more than two years of meticulous, case-by-case attention, representing thousands of hours of work. These interface elements come from numerous resource packs purchased online from human artists such as Kodiac Graphics and his amazing Mercenary GUI https://kodiakgraphics.itch.io/mercenary-rpg-gui or PONETI and his 4000 icons https://poneti.artstation.com/store/zVzR/4000-fantasy-icons or PVGames and his trully unique 2D Srpites used as cosmetic in-game coat of arms appearances, REXARD https://assetstore.unity.com/publishers/13229 Dream Circle for hundreds of incredible animations vfx https://dreams-circle.itch.io/ And many more !
Generative AI was used to create backgrounds images such as class backgrounds, menu backgrounds, battle backgrounds. I recently updated the sprites of all the enemies in the game using generative AI; the retro 3D rendering is incredible and perfectly matches the art style.
All this represents approximately 15% of the game's graphics assets. But this was done carefully and sparingly, and in conjunction with human work and my artistic direction.
➧ 100% of the game's music was made by humans
15 Soundtracks by Alexander Nakarada
1 Soundtrack by Wolfgang Muermann
26 Soundtracks by Alkakrab
Time Shock is hand-built by a solo developer. The design, gameplay, levels, writing, and world are all made by hand. AI tools play a limited supporting role only — used to tweak character voices, assist and refine artwork, and add lip-sync to dialogue. Everything is reviewed and finished by hand before it ships.
