Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
This game includes a number of images that were produced with the assistance of generative artificial intelligence.
Generative AI was used during development to assist in the creation of some pre-generated visual and audio assets, as well as portions of promotional and store-page materials. All AI-assisted content is generated and reviewed during development and included as fixed content. No generative AI content is created during gameplay.
AI was used only to generate bases for a few specific textures, which were then edited by hand.
小部分画面和语音由ai协助渲染
The background, as well as the mesh and base textures for the Matryoshka dolls, were created entirely by hand. Some of the Matryoshka patterns and the fang meshes were generated using AI, then however directed and revised by humans. AI tools were also used to assist with language localization.
AI generates a few images and icons, reviewed manually.
DeepL was used for language translation of the subtitles and also for the text in the Steam store. Some of the voice acting was generated using a paid ElevenLabs subscription.
Hell Healers features artwork developed with generative AI.
all the pictures are generated by artificial intelligence.
Some 2d textures
Some promotional concept artwork was generated by AI, no AI is used in-game.
This game utilises AI for generating marketing materials and in-game paintings.
Steam store page logo and cover art and game menu images made with ai tools
I use AI tools mostly for generating code and audio clips. I also use AI at times for image-editing. I write all the dialogue for the characters - but all the voices inside the game are generated by AI.
Generative AI was used during the development of Pull Me Up! to create some pre-generated content, including artwork used on the Steam store page, certain UI artwork in the game, and some written store page content. All AI-generated content was reviewed and integrated by the developer as part of the final game and store presentation.
Text, some textures
I made Signs then used ai to make multiple designs off my artwork to speed up excess signs, ect
Some character voices in the game were generated using AI voice technology. AI was used only to generate pre-recorded character dialogue. No AI-generated content is created dynamically during gameplay.
Generative AI tools were used during development to assist with and expedite programming and coding tasks.
Spoken dialogue in this game were generated with an AI text-to-speech tool. No AI-generated content is produced at runtime.
Some in-game background decorations and wall art assets were created with the assistance of generative AI tools during development, followed by further review and processing by the development team.
Used AI for background art assets
The game and assets were created with the assistance of generative AI tools
All spoken voice lines in the game were created using AI text-to-speech (ElevenLabs) from scripts written by the developer. The generated audio was selected, edited and mixed by hand. Some sound effects use licensed stock audio. The game does not generate any content live at runtime — all AI-assisted content is pre-generated and reviewed before shipping.
Gen-AI was used to help debug the game after development.
Marketing and Store Visuals: AI tools were utilized during the concept design and background detailing phases for the thumbnail images, posters, and promotional materials on the Steam store page. Sound Design and Trailer Music: AI-powered sound and music production tools were used in the prototyping and production processes for the game’s promotional trailers and in-game atmospheric background sounds. Text and Localization Support: AI assistants were used to edit store page descriptions, marketing copy, and language optimization.
Some objects include generated images such as an X-ray that were added by the objects' creators.
A large language model was used to translate the product page.
WICKLING was built with AI assistance. Generative AI was used during development to help write the game's code, its pixel art, its level layouts and some of its writing, and to help produce this store page and its artwork. The soundtrack is not AI-generated. Every note is a hand-written 2A03 chiptune, synthesised by the game as it runs rather than played back from audio files, which is why the horror systems can bend the music live. Nothing in WICKLING is generated while you play. Every level, sprite, line of text and piece of music is fixed and identical for every player, and the game makes no network requests of any kind.
Generative AI was used to create background art assets and to assist with code scripting.
Some modeling and sound effect assets were created using AI.
Some pre-generated visual assets in the game were created or assisted with generative AI tools, including environment artwork, interface illustrations, textures, and source material used for certain 3D assets. All such material was reviewed, edited, integrated, and tested by the developer. The game does not generate AI content during gameplay or connect to external AI services while running.
AI technologies were used for localization proofreading and generating select illustrative graphic assets to supplement text descriptions.
Pre-generated AI tools were used for in-game character voice dubbing (such as voicemails and phone calls) as well as textures for interior framed pictures and props. All assets have been thoroughly reviewed to ensure there are no copyright infringements or unlawful elements.
INK ABYSS WALKER was crafted by a single indie developer. During development, AI tools were used as an assist to produce quick, early drafts of some illustrations and text — helping an ink-soaked idea take shape as images and words more efficiently. The core gameplay, worldbuilding, card and number balance, narrative, and overall tone, however, were all led, iterated and finalised by hand by the developer. AI is a tool that helps an idea move faster — not the author of it. Everything you see was selected, refined and re-crafted by a person, to keep faith with the game's ink-wash spirit. Thank you to every walker who carries the lamp onward.
The games code is made by AI, but everything else is made by the creator (story, models, design, animations, some textures and other stuff) and some assets are made by real people NOT AI (credits are in the end of the game)
The in-game images in this title were created using generative AI and then reviewed and edited by the developer. The story, scenario, and game design are the developer's own work.
UI assisted modification of a few textures; Created some sound effects using the UI;
Generative AI tools (such as Gemini) were used during development to assist in creating graphic design elements for in-game parody VHS cover art and store page graphic assets. All AI-generated artwork was manually curated, edited, and formatted into final 3D texture maps for the game's assets.
Some content used in Skeleton Island was created with the assistance of generative AI tools during development. AI-generated or AI-assisted content may include visual assets, promotional materials, text, or other development materials. Generative AI is not used to create new content during gameplay. The game does not generate AI content in real time based on player input.
Generating base images and materials for certain environmental textures (such as doors and labels), which are then manually edited, dithered, and color-crushed to fit the game's low-poly PSX aesthetic. Generating video clips, audio, and visual concepts for the television broadcasts (like the in-game cooking shows) that play on CRT monitors throughout the world.
We used generative AI tools during development in the following ways: 3D character models: The models for the supernatural guests (Nightmare, Goblin, Vampire, Devil), the merchant Djinn, and the trapped travelers were generated using AI tools (Meshy AI, with concept images from Google Gemini image models), then rigged, animated, retextured, lit, and integrated by hand in Unity. Store artwork: The capsule key art was created with AI image generation tools and composed by hand. Code: Portions of the game's source code were written with AI coding assistance and reviewed by the developer. All AI-generated content was created by the developer using licensed tools, and all final assets were manually edited, integrated, and tested. No AI-generated content is produced live during gameplay — everything shipped in the game is pre-made and fixed.
Some visuals and audio were generated using AI.
AI has been used to help develop the game's cover art.
Generative AI is used to create some of the 3D model assets in this game.
Some art and audio in Bunker And Friends was produced with generative AI tools during development. This includes store and marketing artwork — the key art, store capsules, and logo elements — and some sound effects and music. All of it was generated ahead of time and ships as fixed assets. The game does not generate any content using AI while you play, and it does not connect to any external AI service during gameplay.
This game is made by a single person. As a solo developer, I use AI tools to speed up certain stages of production, mainly for optimization, generation and assistance tasks: cleaning up and optimizing complex meshes, and sometimes generating them, producing texture bases or shape variations, preparing visual elements for the store page, and handling some repetitive technical passes. These tools let me produce faster and better, on my own, what would normally take an entire team. They do not replace the creative work. Every element that makes up the game is chosen, directed, reworked and finalized by hand. The ideas, the design, the writing, the assembly and the final decisions are entirely my own. In other words: AI helps me build, never to decide in my place. Because in the end, only one thing matters: delivering a real game, and the most intense experience possible in your hands.
Generative AI tools were used during development to assist in the creation of some systems, 3D models, textures, and localized translations included in the game.
AI has been used to help develop the game's cover art.
The code, the in-game text and its translations into six languages were written with the help of an AI assistant, then reviewed and edited by the developer. No images or audio were AI-generated: all artwork is built from licensed photography, a licensed typeface and licensed icons, and all sound comes from a licensed royalty-free library. Full credits are in the game. Nothing is generated while you play — the game makes no network requests at all.
