Generative AI tools were used during development to assist with creating and refining some visual concepts and game assets. AI was also used as a development aid for tasks such as prototyping and programming assistance. All generated content was reviewed, selected, and integrated by the developer, and the game does not generate AI content during normal gameplay
Pre-generated generative AI was used during development to create and refine some character illustrations, 3D character models, and selected visual or marketing assets. All generated material was reviewed and edited by the developer before inclusion. The game does not generate AI content during play.
Generative AI tools were used during development to assist in the creation of visual and audio content. All AI-assisted content was created prior to release, reviewed and curated by the developer, and is included as part of the finished game. No generative AI is used during gameplay.
Our App employs AI-powered image generation tools to aid in the production of visual assets and background artwork for marketing materials, including store page screenshots and preview assets, as well as for full-screen in-game interfaces such as the home screen and event pages.
During development, generative AI was used as an assistive tool to create some in-game text and translations, 2D graphics, and store images. The generated content was reviewed and modified by the developer before being included in the game. Generative AI is not used to create content while the game is running, and no player input or personal information is sent to AI services.
The game features AI‑versus‑AI gameplay, but you need to provide access information for the general‑purpose AI.This may consume your tokens. Alternatively, you can skip the AI connection, which will not affect your gameplay experience.
Enchanted Blackjack is a creative outlet and passion project of mine. The original build was created in 48 hours for a game jam without using AI. Since then,
I have incorporated LLMs such as Claude Code into my workflow to speed up the software development part of game making. I am very aware AI is antithetical to the artform and I take care to ensure all graphics, sound effects, and music is created by humans WITHOUT the use of AI.
Some 3D models and pictures in the game were created with generative AI tools. Store promotional images were generated with AI and then manually edited.
Some of this game's art and music assets were created with the help of generative AI tools during development.
Art: Character portraits, unit and enemy sprites, environment tiles, map decorations, and item icons were produced with the assistance of AI image-generation tools (including Retro Diffusion, PixelLab, and FLUX), then curated, edited, assembled, and integrated by the developer.
Music: Background music was generated with a licensed AI music-generation tool and edited by the developer.
All AI-assisted content is pre-generated and fixed in the shipped game — no content is generated live during gameplay. Every asset was reviewed and approved by the developer to ensure it is original to this game, does not infringe third-party intellectual property, and is appropriate for the game's audience.
The ship and part artwork was generated with AI, then hand-edited and traced by me into the sprites and collision shapes the game actually uses.
Nothing generative runs while you play. There is no AI service wired into the build, and the game never calls one.
The music is licensed from real artists, and the sound effects come out of a script I wrote. Neither is AI.
I want to replace the AI art with work from real artists before Early Access ends. I am not going to promise a date for that, but it is what I am working toward.
Some of the artwork, audio, text, and program code in this game were created with the assistance of generative AI tools and were reviewed, edited, and integrated by the developer. The game does not use generative AI to create content in real time during gameplay.
As an individual developer, during development of this game, AI tools were heavily used. I disclose this honestly and transparently.
1. In-Game Assets
Illustrations & Art: Unit portraits and the opening cinematic illustrations were generated using AI image models, then manually curated, retouched, and unified in style. All assets were human-reviewed under strict art direction to ensure historical tone and consistency.
Opening Cinematic: Subtle motion effects on the illustrations were produced with an AI image-to-video model and assembled by using the Remotion pipeline.
Background Music: The soundtrack was generated by an AI music model in multiple takes, then human-selected, mixed, and mastered.
Telegram Voice-overs: The historical telegram voice-overs in-game were synthesized by an AI TTS system. Each character's reference voice was human-approved through listening tests before use.
2. Development Assistance
Code: Game code was written and debugged with the aid of AI coding assistants. All code was human-reviewed and validated through automated testing.
Localization: The game supports Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and English. The English text was AI-drafted and human-proofread.
3. What Is NOT AI-Generated
Historical Text: The telegrams in-game are taken from historical archives, 34 are verbatim transcriptions of the original documents, and 12 were written based on the sources. They were not AI-generated.
Terrain & Map: The battlefield map was procedurally rendered from real elevation data (SRTM), not generated by AI.
Game Balance & Statistics: Troop strength, Unit Introduction, and values were researched and set manually from historical sources, cross-checked for accuracy and play balance.
Google Translate aided in the japanese translation of the game. but it kept throwing out overly polite phrases, so I still had to do a lot to get it done.
We used generative AI to create artwork for this store page and for promotional
materials. All generated material was reviewed and adjusted
by humans before use. No content is generated by AI during gameplay.
Some of this game's assets were created with the assistance of generative AI tools and were then reviewed, edited, and integrated by the developer. This includes: base meshes of some 3D character models, some 2D artwork such as card illustrations and icons, voice lines and sound effects created with AI voice/audio generation, and parts of the localized text. All such content was pre-generated during development — the game does not generate any content with AI at runtime.
Ravens of War uses generative AI to create some of the artwork and illustrations used in the game, including card artwork. This content is pre-generated and included as part of the game; the game does not generate new AI content during gameplay.
During the development of this game, generative AI was used to assist with the creation of some art assets, sound effects, music, text translations, and development reference materials. All AI-assisted generated content was manually reviewed, edited, integrated, and approved before being included in the game. No content is generated in real time based on player input during gameplay.
Guildfire uses pre-generated AI-assisted content in parts of its visual art, localization, sound effects, and soundtrack. AI-generated material is manually selected, edited, and integrated by the developer. No generative AI is used during gameplay, and the game does not connect to external AI services at runtime.
Final Night Firefight uses generative AI tools during development to assist with the creation of some pre-generated game artwork, visual assets and music. I review, edit, and integrate all AI-assisted content as part of the game's development process. The game does not generate AI content live during gameplay.
Crie au loup is made with AI, from the first prototype to the illustrations. That is not a manufacturing detail: it is as much the project as the game itself.
My role is not a craftsman's: I painted no card, and I did not write the code line by line. I designed the system, I direct it, I arbitrate and I verify. Deciding what makes it into the game, what gets redone, what gets cut: that is production work, and it is mine.
What is generated: the creature and location artwork, the interface, a large share of the code and the writing. What is measured rather than assumed: card balance, computed over thousands of simulated matches before every update. What is verified: the historical sources behind every legend, published one by one on the official site, where you can open them and prove me wrong.
What is never generated is your match. No image, no text and no game decision comes out of a model while you play: the engine is deterministic, and the solo opponent is a classic program applying the rules.
Crie au loup is one of the projects I run around generative AI, and the only one you can play. The making-of is documented without varnish in the devlog on the official site.
Some graphic assets (club crests, flags, and interface icons) were created
with the help of generative AI tools during development. All content is
original and fictional, and does not reproduce any real brands, crests, or
logos. The match simulation, the game data, and the game code do not use AI
at runtime.
OpenAI ImageGen was used during development to generate and edit some pre-generated 2D pixel-art visual assets, including UI elements, icons, backgrounds, environment artwork, and character or animation source frames. All outputs were reviewed, selected, manually edited, cleaned up, resized, palette-normalized, and integrated by the developer as fixed game assets. The game does not use generative AI at runtime and does not generate live AI content.
We use about 15 seconds of AI footage in our trailer. All assets in the game are human authored.
We also use a local, small and offline LLM (meaning: no data ever leaves your computer, and it does not cause significant performance drops) as a Director that controls: enemy spawn and frequency of challenges, essentially choosing when to press with difficulty and when to hold the challenge based on parameters such as player frustration, boredom and an emergence metric.
This mechanic does not generate any text, narrative or story: it is just a mechanic that controls game balance to ensure the best challenge. And you can turn it off on the settings menu, if you want.
Some visual assets in this game — including character portraits, illustrations, and marketing images — were created with the assistance of generative AI tools. All AI-generated material was reviewed, edited, and finalized by the developer. No AI content is generated during gameplay.
Generative AI tools were used during development to assist with creating some music and UI graphic assets, as well as to provide coding suggestions and troubleshooting support. All AI-assisted content was reviewed, edited where necessary, and integrated by the developer. The game does not generate AI content during gameplay.
Generative AI tools were used during development as part of the production workflow for pre-generated visual, 3D, audio, written, and localization content included in the game. All final content was selected, reviewed, edited, adapted, and integrated as part of the game's development process. No generative AI systems run during gameplay and no content is generated dynamically for players.

Generative AI tools have been used as support in the development of this game. They were primarily used for programming, translations, and some background and art elements. All content has been manually reviewed and approved before being included in the game.
Parts of Fluxgates were built with AI assistance, and all of it is fixed content baked into the build - nothing is generated while you play.
Code: Some of the game's source was written with an AI coding assistant, reviewed, edited and tested by the developer before shipping.
Text: English and French interface strings and node descriptions were drafted with AI help and edited by hand.
No AI generated art or audio. Every visual is drawn by the interface itself, and every sound and music track is synthesised procedurally by a script in the project.
The game runs fully offline. No AI model runs at runtime, and no data leaves your machine.
Some of the artwork in ChessTan was created with the help of generative AI tools. This includes in-game graphics (unit and board art) and the store page / marketing images. All AI-generated art was reviewed, edited, and curated by the developer before use. No AI-generated content is produced live during gameplay. Music is licensed royalty-free stock (not AI-generated), and AI coding assistants were used only for development, not to generate player-facing content
As a solo game designer, bringing a video game to life is something I always dreamed of. To help realize my creative vision, I used AI tools to assist with certain aspects of development such as game backgrounds and sound effects.
It is important to note that AI was used as a starting point, not a final solution. Every asset was reviewed by hand to ensure it fits the game's world and artistic direction. The core gameplay, design, and story remain 100% created by me.
Thank you for supporting indie development!
Pre-generated key art, store and marketing artwork, and two music loops were created with generative AI tools, then selected, edited, and reviewed by the developer. - The game does not contain any live-generated AI content during gameplay.
As a solo developer I find use of AI to be one of my most prominent and efficient tools ever used.
I'm heavily relying on Gemini, Claude and QWEN to create my code snippets and review them. I also manually review their work from time to time.
Visual assets creation also rely on AI(NanoBanana2). Some of the assets are my sketches that has been polished to perfection by AI. Some are AI generated and hand-edited after and some, I'll be totally honest here, are fully AI generated, via meticulous prompt engineering and trial and errors.
I'm heavily opposed to using AI to create slop or mass produce clones of existing content. But I'm a firm believer that, when curated by talented individual with solid vision, it can achieve great results.
AI is used as a translation aid for localizing in-game text and Steam store page text into the supported languages. All original Japanese text is written by the developer.
