Story of Nova is primarily developed by a solo developer. Generative AI tools are occasionally used during development to assist with placeholder artwork, and certain visual assets. All gameplay systems, game design, programming, world-building, and final implementation are created and integrated by the developer. No generative AI is used to create player interactions or core gameplay mechanics.
