Slimekin

Generative AI Disclosure Slimekin is an independently developed game created by a solo developer with no external funding. Generative AI has been used to assist with certain parts of production, including Steam store promotional artwork, some music, and illustrated story cutscenes used to tell the game's narrative. The slimes, characters, and environments use a combination of hand-drawn artwork, commercially purchased assets, and artwork commissioned from human artists. Character animations are human-created, and the gameplay systems, combat, evolution, fusion, and enemy behaviour are designed as part of the game's development. No generative AI is used during gameplay. All AI-assisted content is pre-generated; the game does not generate images, dialogue, music, or other content dynamically while players are playing. As a self-funded solo developer, AI-assisted tools help make parts of the game's presentation possible that would otherwise be difficult to produce independently. The focus remains on delivering a fun, original game with engaging mechanics and a distinct visual identity.
